Ella had been drinking cocktails for the last few days and when she’d finally seen the news just like the rest of town she was a little surprised. She’d barely known Mr Pearson, but to lose someone else so soon.... it didn’t seem like a coincidence. “I think i’m going to need another one of these...”
She held her empty glass up. “or maybe three...” She looked across the grass, the festival had only got busier in light of the events. “Do you think they should’ve cancelled this thing? Are we safe to be here?”

Astrid smiled, holding her shopping bags in both hands. Spring Break meant that she finally got a little time off. She tilted her head, looking at a rather glamorously dressed mannequin. “Do you think i could pull that off? Would i ever need to pull that off? Does it even matter?”
“Do you ever get that feeling sometimes, that people are talking about you behind your back?” he half laughed, it didn’t bother him. He was used to it. People heard the name Halles and they gave looks. “My life a lot lately. It’s actually amusing how unsubtle people are about it.”
Kai had been taking a nap when he heard the crash from the back room of the bar. He stood, moving quickly as he headed out front. “Oh my god, what the fuck?” he breathed, the front window was shattered, glass spread across the floor. “Who... the fuck... who’s there?” He carefully stepped to the broken window, though he couldn’t see anyone. “Come on, man. What the fuck?”
“Six year old writing is both adorable and confusing. Look at this,” the young teacher said, showing the messy handwriting to the other. “Literally, I swear this is harder than reading an adult’s essay. I love it though. Though it does make me turn to a lot of caffeine. I’ve had 3 cups already.”
“How many bathrooms do you think there are in this place?” She glanced around the mansion she’d only ever looked at it from the outside. If she was honest, she’d only come here to have a nose inside the home. “I think there’s at least five. Houses like this always have huge bathrooms.”

“This is ridiculous”, Noah mumbled, closing his laptop with a little too much force. He was set outside of the Wildflower Cafe, enjoying the first warm days of spring, his dog half asleep beside his chair, huffing every now and then or moving his tail lazily at the people that passed them by. “We will never get it done in time”, he sighed, leaning back and pressing both hands upon his eyes. Suddenly Varus let out a low growl. Noah immediately went “Hey”, at the dog and “I am so sorry, he’s been dreaming apparently”, at the person that got too close to their table.
