"Clay, it's ok. You do a lot around here to help."

"I want to help at the café.  I can learn how to run the coffee machines, clean, even learn the paperwork. I can work there part-time to help out.  You won't even have to pay me. You have done so much for me already."

"Clay, that is great of you to offer, but if you come to work for me.  I will pay you. And it just might be a good learning experience for you. Okay, sure stop by tomorrow after school"

"Children's services said that his mother died of a drug overdose. They had been living in shelters for as long as he could remember. He has to stay here Niko. He has no where to go. We can be his family."

"You don't have to convince me. I was raised a lot like him, until Uncle Mortimer took me in. He is going to have a lot of adjustments, and you really have no way of knowing everything he has seen or endured, so we need to tread lightly."
