Writing this fic was such a fun journey. It's the longest thing I've ever written and I struggled, I laughed, I cried, I procrastinated, I hyper fixated, I lost interest, I smiled, and I felt so much joy while writing it and people commenting. Thanks to all who stuck it out with me or joined at any point over the last three years. 💜💜💜

June 22nd, 2022 around 5:20 pm (but probably before that but idk when since I deleted the original Google doc) - February 13th, 2026 around 12:45 pm.

I finished! My longest fic ever, original or fanfic, is done and I'm so relieved and happy and sad and other stuff, lol. The final chapter will be up next Sunday and it's about time exciting after writing on and off for so long.

I've got five sections (of ten) of this chapter left and then it's ready to be edited. And then three more chapters after that and my longest fic ever will be finished. Done. Fin. Termine. Over. It's watch will be over.

Marinette allowed Luka to pull her out of the room and out of the hospital. They were halfway back to the Liberty when her brain caught up with them. 

“Luka,” she whispered as he continued to tug her along. “Luka!” 

He didn’t stop until she dug her heels into the brick and resisted. 

Knocked out of whatever trance he was in, Luka stopped and looked back at her. “Let’s keep going.”

“Where?”

“The boat.”

“But we should talk about-”

“I know but I don’t think we should do it out in the open.”

Marinette nodded and allowed him to walk them there and below deck. He checked his mom’s room and Juleka’s side of the room before they settled on his bed, completely alone. 

The moment he was next to her, Marinette burst into tears. 

Everything was so fucking screwed up!
