Allison doing Neil’s makeup again except this time instead of attempting to cover the mess that’s been made of his face, it’s just for fun and to further highlight Neil’s features.
Nothing too crazy: just some brown (not black, that’s too dark for him, she insists) eyeliner and some mascara to help make the thinner lashes in the inner corners of his eyes pop (just the inner, because the rest of Neil’s lashes make up a fairly lovely fanning all by themselves). Allison might pressure him into some lightly tinted lip gloss (or chapstick, more realistically) and that really is all that she does. “You look cute,” she’ll tell Neil just as she’s putting her products away and zipping the bag shut again. “Let me know what the Monster thinks,” she hums.
Andrew won’t have an opinion, Neil is sure. But when he walks into the dorm awhile later, he thinks that perhaps he might be wrong on that. Andrew instinctively turns his head as Neil approaches, and he stops whatever nonchalant ministrations he’s doing. He stares at Neil’s face: at his accented eyes and something in his gaze looks almost feral as he reaches out and cups the back of Neil’s neck to pull him closer. Andrew’s stare dips down to Neil’s pink lips.
“Do you like it? Allison was just having fun,” Neil tells him, and that short lived moment of seeing the purest, most unadulterated temptation in Andrew’s hazel gaze wanes away, not quite dying but certainly being carefully contained.
“You look ridiculous,” Andrew tells him, but he’s put down his cigarette/his ice cream/his phone. “Too ridiculous for a kiss?” Neil asks; an instant rebuttal. Andrew’s short nails dig gently into the skin of Neil’s neck. “Shut up,” he says, before going onto kiss Neil senseless.
Neil falls into the kiss happily and willingly; he doesn’t touch Andrew until he’s prompted, and then he’s twisting his fingers in Andrew’s hair and trying very hard not to pull too hard at the roots. The two kiss like they’ve never kissed in the past; like this time might be the last, true and proper and terrifying. Andrew has tinted chapstick smudged across his mouth when it’s all said and done, and he finally leans back.
Neil doesn’t tell him. Maybe he ought to, but the striker is too busy still skating along the edges of cloud nine; trying to see how close he can dare to skim the ridges. He’ll tell Andrew in a while, maybe. As for Allison… Neil will for sure be telling her Andrew “didn’t really seem to care” even though the evidence says differently.

it always catches me off guard when someone talks about how light is always so calm so seeing him completely lose it at the end was super surprising cause light yagami??? calm?? that boy is the exact opposite of calm. i think hes got some people fooled with his act cause no way yall forgot the way hes always freaking out.
when he realized naomi gave him a fake name he starts freaking out and gets all skittish over his phone possibly ringing and dooming him before reminding himself he needs to just turn it off lol. hes constantly reminding himself to calm down in his head, overthinking things 24/7, and his overreactions are what causes him to slip up like with lind l taylor. when l surprises him at college, he freaks tf out when he gets home, gripping his head and screaming for a minute before laughing like a weirdo. this has been going on forever dude 💔
Nico: You never do this to Hazel
Hades: *offering him another pomegranate* Hazel has her life together
I honestly think the most radical way to tell a story about Dracula as the misunderstood hero, the person we must root for, is to make a movie about a Romanian/Hungarian immigrant with a rare disease or condition get slowly vilified and dehumanized by a white mob who believe him to be the cause of a noble woman's death. They write papers about how he and his community drinks blood and attacks women, the libel is so awful he narrowly escapes with his own life by stowing away in a ship sailing back to his home country. And yes the crucial part in this adaptation would be that white women are very much complicit in this agenda. But I think this would be too much for Hollywood.
Episode 4 and they're already wearing each other's jackets
