I’M GONNA CLEAN TODAY
My mental health and overall mood has been very poor lately, I was already not doing so great before the protesting began due to personal reasons, and when things escalated my mental health took a downward turn. However, yesterday I got a lot of work done both out at my actual workplace and here in my apartment, and it did wonders for my mood. So much so that I’m going to try and continue that by cleaning my apartment today (it’s been getting more and more messy, because I’ve been in a poor mood, but then the messiness adds to the poor mood and it’s a lovely lovely cycle).
This is my accountability post, every 20 minutes I’m gonna check back in and try to have at least 2 items crossed off. That’s 4 hours of work at most for the whole thing (not counting breaks, and vastly over-estimating how many items I can actually cross off in 20 minutes). Encouraging asks or messages are welcome! Here’s what needs to happen all around the place:
Kitchen:
Run dishwasher
Put away clean dishes
Scrub countertops
Sweep Mop
Empty Dishwasher
Put burners back on
Dining Room:
Put away pantry items
Sort mail/papers
Throw out trash
Deal with rogue boxes
Vacuum
Living Room:
Put away all the junk I dragged out of the office last night when I built my new art supplies shelf
Take out waste cardboard
Clean off side tables and media center
Vacuum
Bedroom:
Change sheets
Put away clutter
Vacuum
Bathroom(s):
Clear countertops
Scrub counters and sink
Clean mirror
Scrub toilet
Scrub shower/tub
Sweep/mop
Office:
Clear trash
Organize closet
Vacuum
