American Rivers is a foundation that protects wild rivers, restores damaged rivers, and conserves clean water for people and nature. What is interesting about this source, although not related to the Mekong River Hydropower construction argument specifically, is that this public organization has actually accepted hydropower. Other social media sources looked upon seem to shut down any idea involving construction on river waterways, ecosystems, and/or environments despite the positive impacts they could bring. What is interesting about this source is that part of what they do is find bridges between hydropower systems and the environment. For instance, part of what they do is travel to poorly built dams and upgrade them to make them more environmentally friendly and efficient. This blog also consists of YouTube in which they have informative videos describing the current projects of what they are doing. (Is Hydropower Clean?)
