Colon Cleanse: Day 1
Well, today I started my #cleansecraze, which will last me through the fall. This includes a cleanse for my colon, liver, kidney, gallbladder, lungs and skin with appropriate breaks in between. The basis for each cleanse isn't far from my normal eating habits; no animal products, refined sugars, processed carbs, lots of vegetables, juice, and a large portion of food being raw. With the colon cleanse I am adding a fiber drink 3x per day (the recommendation is 4), probiotics 2x per day, a cleansing tea at night and I am skipping the advised herbal cleanse formula. I feel comfortable omitting the 4th fiber drink and the herbal cleanse formula because this cleanse is designed for someone on an average American diet. I like to think that I know my body well and I feel good that the other components will get the job done. I'm curious to see how it goes, if I'll lose weight or what changes I will experience. I started to wonder today if this is even necessary for me. The stated goal is to get your body to make movements 2-3x a day, which apparently is a lot for some people. I fit the description for someone with healthy movements, so I will have to wait and see. Hopefully Day 2 holds less temptations and no buffet of vegan junk food 2 hours after bedtime (#weakness). Sleep well readers. Tomorrow is new - make it worth writing about.
