No one could have known of the tragedy that happened beyond the largest painting of the art . All one could ever hope to do was just marvel at the mysterious painting and wonder what its meaning was. With its splatters of blacks and blues with only mere splotches of other colors, one could deduce that it's meaning was a sad one....but that was all they could ever hope to understand.
Unless one dove in deeper.
Seemingly obvious to the other visitors, the small child gazed at the morbid painting in curiosity. It was just the slightest bit disturbing, really. Though, it still fascinated him greatly. So much so that the only thing that was able to catch his attention were the flickering of the lights above him. As soon as he saw that; that was when he realized. He was alone.
"...Huh?"
Taking steps forward, the little boy walked on as he squinted through the darkness. There were shadows but those were cast by nothing but the statues and artwork. Perhaps it was closing time and he got locked in? That....wouldn't be too much of a problem, right? Maybe he could just sleep on the floor in a little corner and make his escape in the morning. Though, maybe he should check to see if he actually was locked in.
Tip, tap, tip, tap, splat.
Upon hearing that unknown noise, his seafoam eyes turned downwards, he found himself ankle deep in water. Water? Where in the world? Where was it coming from? Looking forward, he saw a pit full of water. Taking another step, he slipped right in.
"A-Ah!"
Rather than feeling the sensation of drowning, he found himself in another room. One that was just as bare of life as the gallery...only...this was different.
"......Hello?"
