Standing on a dock throwing food to fish is generally a calm experience.

In the Maldives, where the water is crystal clear, there’s an added bonus of being able to really see and experience the sea life. But this family got more than they bargained for during their fish-feeding adventure.

They noticed a large stingray approaching in the water…and what happened next made for a moment that this family will never forget.

Watch as the stingray climbs halfway up the dock to get fed, even letting the man pet him.
