widow's bite wasn't a place sebastian was as used to as most of the other places in town for a night out. he had always found the venue cool and mysterious, a cool place for thrill seekers where he often felt out of place. yet after a particularly good day and even better news, the author found himself walking into one of the businesses he knew the least with a smile on his face and a pep to his step. he considered going for a table away from the crowd, ordering himself a drink he'd nurse for the rest of his stay before walking home again, enjoying the peacefulness of maple brook after hours yet, against his best judgement, the author walked straight to the bar.
he ordered himself a variation of an old fashioned, his usual drink of choice turned into a fun themed cocktail before turning to his side, seeing a person standing near. "hey, want a drink? it's on me" he offered with a shrug followed by a grin. after the day he had had, finally meeting his quota of chapters to write with more than two thirds of his next novel done and over-edited to perfection and the news he had gotten not even an hours prior, the author figured all he could do was spread the joy. "a snack? hell, order away whatever you want, your whole tab is on me for the night. hope you are having a nice time."
