Repost •Wisdom from a legend: @clemensmitscher This is to prepare you (only) for the biggest rock & roll band I've ever photographed. A Place to Bury Strangers. More pictures will follow. I've seen them all over the world: In Liverpool, in Cologne, in Portugal, in Eindhoven, in Los Angeles, at the Desert Daze Festival and in Austin Texas. For a rock & roll photographer it's the biggest challenge of all. APTBS explode every chip of a digital camera. Images are created in the mind. Rock & Roll in the body. The retina collapses. The senses disappear. The bodies of the audience become machines in the intoxication of madness. I said to Oliver yesterday: after Elvis came London Calling and after London Calling came APTBS. There's hardly anything in between that celebrates the spirit of Rock & Roll. It's like a Combine Painting of the forces of nature. All of them are lovable people. On stage they become monsters. No dream can ever reproduce that. Thank you Oliver, Dion and Lea for all that. @levitation @aptbs @dionlunadon @deathbyaudioeffects #levitation #clemensmitscher (at Barracuda Austin) https://www.instagram.com/p/B4vLKXAJRSx/?igshid=1r25ztz6y953k
