I hope you are doing well. Okay since you did ask. How about a short story where Claire comes back after the events from revelations 2 and Leon teases her about Neil that he was right about him all along. Just a fun little story, please?
Thanks for the kind words! So I guess this could be considered a continuation of the fic I wrote about Revelations 2. I hope I made it fluffy enough.
“You can say it, ya know.”
It’s dark in their room when she speaks. They’re in bed having finally turned in for the night after putting both of the children to bed. Isabel had been hardest to sleep in their room for the night - a habit she’d picked up while Claire was gone and had kept once she’d gotten back. Claire was loathe to take away this comfort from her daughter but it was a habit that did not need to be reinforced.
Not to mention this was the first time since she was discharged from the hospital about a month ago that she got to sleep in her own bed with her husband alone. Just the two of them. She’d be lying if she said she wasn’t enjoying the comforting feeling of being held by him without another small body between them.
“Hmm?”
He seems so relaxed. One arm tucked behind his head, the other wrapped around her shoulders. She’s pressed so deeply into his side that she feels the rumble in his chest before she hears it.
“I told you so. I know you’ve probably been waiting to say it. I think I’m finally ready to admit you were right about Niel.”
“I don’t know what upsets me more, the fact that you think I’d say that or the fact that I can’t really say it.”
“What do you mean?” She shifts in his arms slightly so she could better see his face. He’s looking at the ceiling when he answers.
“I was totally convinced that Niel had a thing for you and I think past experiences proved me right there.” Claire snorts but Leon continues,
“Never would have guessed he was a money hungry, egotistical bastard that would quite literally sell out all of his employees to the very same people they were fighting against.”
They’re both silent and for a moment. Claire thinks maybe he’s fallen asleep. Finally taken over by the exhaustion of the day.
“Actually, what makes me the most angry is that I didn’t see it coming. I was so preoccupied with our dumb little dick measuring contest that I never realized what he was doing.”
“None of us did and we worked with him every day.” Claire traces her hands across his chest hoping that the small patterns would offer him more comfort than her words.
“No sense in dwelling on it now.”
Her hands still. She sits up slightly so she can look down at him, pleasant suprise written on her face.
“Who are you and what have you done with my husband?”
“I don’t know. All that time we spent not knowing where you were or if you were ok? I guess I just decided to stop worrying about things that don’t matter, that I don’t have control over. Life’s to short and we’re reminded of that everyday in our line of work.”
The arm he’d previously been using to hold her comes up to tuck a strand of her short hair behind her ears.
“I don’t want to spend all my time thinking about what I should have seen or done when it comes to that weasel,” he continues. Voice quiet and sincere in the dark,
“I’d rather think about you and our girls. All the ways I’m going to spoil you,” the hand in her had stills, fingers wrapped gently around a strand he’d been toying with.
“How beautiful you look with short hair.”
She smiles and hopes that he can see it in the dark. It’s the first time he’s directly acknowledged her new haircut. She’s shorn it off in their bathroom last week but had finally broken down yesterday and went to an actual salon to let someone fix the uneven ends.
She liked the new look and felt a small burst of appreciation that he did as well. It was a small bit of change that she could control after the island - cutting her hair. She knows Leon understands why as well. It’s one of the many things she loves about him.
“I love you,” she whispers as she settles back into the side of his body. Not wanting to speak too loudly for fear of ending this moment between them.
He plates a kiss on her hairline and returns the sentiments with his lips still on her skin.
“I don’t think I say that enough.”
“You say it everyday,” she giggles.
“Not enough.” She can feel the earnest love in his voice.
“Well, you have the rest of our lives to make up for it.”
With it being fathers day I've decided to show the little munchkins from my universe.
• Claire and Leon have two kids. A boy and a girl.
• Logan Michael Kennedy their son, and the first to be born, Has short auburn hair and short bangs that he sweeps to the side, much like his fathers. Logan holds his father on a pedestal. Anything Leon does Logan mimics! If Leon ask for his coffee to be black while he reads the newspapers, Logan will ask for his milk to be black while he reads his comics. Much to his parents amusement.
• And like his father, he HATES thunderstorms and will sneak in their bedroom if it's too loud.
• Thanks to Jake he has learned some tricks, including "heads I win tails you lose". And uses it frequently on Benjamin (Jake's and Sherry's oldest son.) Jake laughs his ass off every time.
• Logan is playful and has a huge imagination. One of his favorite games to play on the playground are the one where he pretends he's his dad.
• He is also level headed and smart for his age. Claire and Leon ever the proud Parents have a tendency to brag about their son's smarts whenever they get the chance.
• Camilla Jae Kennedy is the second blessing that they thought they would never get. She has blonde hair much like her father. But is strong minded like her mother. She is their little princess.
• When Camilla is born, little Logan has trouble pronouncing her name and ends up giving her a nickname "Cammy" which ends up being her official nickname.
• Cammy has her father wrapped around her little finger. There's no saying "no" when it comes to his baby girl. Claire would scold him if weren't an adorable sight. That and perhaps she has difficulty saying that two letter word as well.
• Like her mother, she has a soft caring nature and puts others before herself. Which Leon and Claire brag about when given the opportunity. What can I say? They are a proud mama and papa.
Cammy was originally going to be a baby in my sequel, but I decided that I wanted Leon to have precious moments with her before I start fucking everything in the trilogy (°o°;)(...ssssorry in advance.) So I don't have much for her, but I will! 😊
Feel free to send me your Headcanons! I would love to read them! 😊
This is sort of connected to the last Cleon Pregnancy prompt I did so you can go here to read that if you would like.
Without further ado....
"Do you think I'll make a good father?" "The best."
After their late night talk - if it could even be classified as a talk - the topic of Leon and fatherhood hadn’t come up. Claire still knew, as she did that night, it would not stay that way forever. Her due date was just a few weeks away although Claire had been warned that babies tended to have minds of their own and their little one’s plan for their own arrival might not line up with theirs.
The topic was finally realized on a calm Saturday. Leon, who had been working overtime lately so all of his work business would be in order by the time the baby arrived for him to take time off, for once had nothing to do for the day except dote on his wife and not yet born child. Claire was in a nesting mood and had decided they should spend the morning making sure all of the small onesies and burning clothes were folded neatly. And of course the mound of stuffed animals filling the corner needed to be arranged just perfectly.
Leon had been more than willing to help Claire in any way that she needed. So there he was, across the room dusting the high corners and shelves she couldn’t reach. Logically, she knew that the amount of dust that had gathered in the week since Leon had put the shelves up in the first place was probably minimal - she also knew that he knew that. She was grateful, however, to see him smiling and indulging her wishes. He had been very pensive lately. Claire suspected it was mostly due to his larger workload but she also knew his self-doubt was still brewing under the surface.
“You know,” it was Leon who broke the peaceful silence they had been working in, “I think our little girl is going to have one of the cleanest rooms in the whole house.”
“And you know there is a fifty percent chance that our little girl might actually be a little boy?”
“I’m sticking with my gut on this one. It hasn’t failed me yet.”
Claire chuckled to herself before turning to fully face her husband.
“I think your gut can be wrong sometimes.”
Leon stopped his dusting to face her as well, signature cocky smirk in place.
“Ok, I'll bite. Name one time my gut feeling had been wrong.”
“When your gut told you that you won’t be a good Dad,” Claire said plainly.
Leon’s smirk fell almost immediately as he turned away from her once again fully wrapped up in his dusting.
“Yah well, I don’t exactly have that warm, paternal instinct you know?” he mumbled.
“That statement is so wrong in so many ways.”
Claire approached Leon slowly. Placing her one hand on top of his she squoze lightly until he put the duster down and looked at her once again.
“I remember the way you look after Sherry those few weeks after the raccoon. How you gave up your own freedom to keep her safe. How you still look after her to this day. How you look after me and everyone else you care about. Hell, Leon you risk your life all the time on missions protecting people you don’t know and will probably never meet. You can’t tell me someone like that wouldn’t do everything in their power to make sure our daughter is safe and loved. She's gonna be so lucky to have you as her Daddy, already is actually.”
Leon smiled slightly, moving their joined hands to rest on her bump between them.
“Do you really think I'll make a good father?”
“The best,” Claire spoke with all the sincerity and gusto she could muster.
Leon leaned down to kiss her and when they pulled apart she could tell that he was truly smiling now. Not ginning or smirking, the kind of smile he saved for her and, she suspected, their child.
“You called her a she.”
“Yeah well, I thought maybe your paternal instincts might be right.”
“Like I said, my gut is usually right. And I have you for when it’s wrong.”
“Damn right.” Claire laughed into the next kiss they shared. Glad that Leon has finally seen how wrong his initial gut instinct was.
Hey I don't know if you see this but If you have the time can you write a story about Leon taking care of with Isabelle and Olivia when Claire was kidnapped during Revelations 2?♥️I can imagine how all of this destroyed the poor man🥺🥺
This is so angsty, you have been warned!
Leon was aware that something was amiss when he realized he had a collection of almost twenty missed calls between Chris, Jill, and Barry Burton of all people just within the last hour. Looking at his call logs Leon realized the three had been trying to reach him for a while. He had been collecting his things and getting ready to head home for the night. It was reaching almost midnight - yet another in a string of long nights as he prepared to ship out soon for another assignment. All he wanted was to savor the time he had left with his wife and children before having to leave again for the first time since Olivia was born. From a quick glance at his text messages as well, he was pretty sure that wasn’t going to happen anytime soon.
Chris picked up immediately. His tone of voice gave away that he was on the verge of panicking. Leon was fairly sure he had never seen the rock of a man that was Chris Redfield panic. Leon felt his heart drop into his stomach.
“Where have you been! We’ve been calling you for over an hour,” for some reason, that sent Leon on the defensive.
“You should know by now how the government is Redfield. I’ve got a new assignment coming around soon that means everyone is essentially on lockdown while we get ready.”
“I don’t give a shit about your assignment, Leon. Right now we have more important things to worry about. You need to get down to the TeraSave building right now -”
“TerraSave? What’s going on Chris?”
The other line was so silent that, for a minute, Leon thought Chirs had hung up.
“Chris?”
“It’s Claire. She’s gone.”
Leon hung up and was on the move in seconds. If Chris had anything else to say - not that Leon probably would have heard it with the way his focus zeroed in so quickly - he’d find out when they met up at TerraSave. The building was located in the private sector downtown, only about a thirty-minute drive from the compound where Leon’s office was located.
He made it in ten.
If the situation had been different, not so tense, Leon would have marveled at the fact he’d avoided a ticket with all the traffic laws he surely had broken. But, it all made sense as soon as he turned onto the street that housed TeraSave’s offices. It seemed like all the police officers in the city were converged on the scene.
Leon barely registered putting his car in park before he was jumping out. Chris must have noticed him when he pulled up. The larger man met him at the crime scene tape. He ushered Leon through, fielding protests from any officer who dared try to stop him. Leon was a federal agent. One quick show of his credentials would have offered him access anyway but, if Chris had this much authority here, then that meant the B.S.A.A was involved - most likely in charge.
“What’s going on?”
“Well if you hadn’t hung up so fast on the phone I would have told you,” Chris was guiding them through the front doors and up to the elevator. There were low-level officers, detectives, and other people in recognizable B.S.A.A gear everywhere.
“Well excuse me for trying to get here as fast as possible, Chris. You told me my wife was missing!”
“Ya well, she is. Along with Moira and several other TerraSave employees.”
Moira. As in Moira Burton. Leon had forgotten that she was at the party too. That explains the calls from Barry.
“That still doesn’t tell me what happened.”
The elevator came to a stop and, as the door opened, the details became a bit less murky. The room showed evidence of what had once seemed like a fairly decent party. Nothing close to the type of opulent galas Leon sometimes had to attend due to his position and close connections with certain people. But the kind that was meant to raise morale and celebrate the hard work that the good people of TeraSave did. Now, it was in shambles. Tables and platters of food were overturned on the floor. Shattered glass covered the far side of the room where once floor-to-ceiling windows had been shattered. Bullet holes could be found all around the room. And blood. Leon prayed none of it belonged to Claire.
“We’re still interviewing some of the employees who weren’t taken.” Chris nodded his head to a group of terrified people in a corner. Several B.S.A.A agents looked to be going back and forth between attending to minor injuries, handing out blankets and water, and taking statements.
“But,” Chris continued, “from what we’ve gathered so far two teams entered - one from the door and one from the patio. They shot through the windows and at the ceilings but not at anyone else. Well, except for one brave soul who put up the most fight. So far, he seems to be the only casualty.”
Leon followed Chris around the room as he talked him through the assault. Only casualty. He had to remind himself that Claire was just missing. Temporarily. They would find her and God help whoever they find holding her.
“It seems whoever ordered this operation had a list of people. Only they were taken. One of the women said she saw the captors inject something into some of their necks before they excited the same way they came in. Claire and the others were taken to a helicopter that we’re trying to track down now. From what others say, we think the injection was a sedative.”
Leon stood quiet for a moment trying to take everything in. At some point, he had enough wherewithal to ask about his daughters.
“Still with Jill. She said to tell you she’d watch them for as long as needed.”
“Ok. Well then call her back and tell her I’m on my way to take them home.”
“Leon, we’re in the middle of the investigation. You know as well as I do that this is the most crucial time! We need you here.”
And while that may be true, while he wanted so badly to tear this place apart brick by brick until he found anything to lead him to his Claire, he was a father now. He had to put his children first.
“And my girls need me more! They’re kids, Chris. Olivia is just a baby. I bet they don’t even know their mother is gone yet and I’m going to have to be the one to tell them. And then I have to be there to help them through it. I owe them that.”
Chris was silent for a moment while he processed Leon’s words. His face showed a begrudging understanding and if he thought his choice of words was a bit odd, he didn’t say anything.
“Fine. I’ll let Jill know. Keep your phone close, I’ll call if I find anything.”
“You better.”
With that, Leon was moving again. He took the stairs down to the lobby this time as he didn’t think he could stand being stuck in the elevator. The stairs were also faster.
__________
The first few weeks were the hardest. Due to the type of his work, Leon wasn’t able to get out of his mission. That left both girls without a parent for almost an entire week. Jill had been more than willing to watch them while he was away and Cathy Burton also promised to stop by a few times to make sure Izzy and Liv were ok. Leon couldn’t express to them how thankful he was especially to Cathy considering that her own daughter was still missing.
Leon took every precaution possible while out in the field. Hunnigan was very surprised at his lack of flashiness as well as the fact that he hadn’t ignored any orders. When he got back, he was able to take some much needed time off. Hunnigan was able to pull some strings for him and Leon cashed in at least a few weeks of time off. His missions were halted until he deemed himself ready to go back but, eventually, he would have to return to work even if just in a desk position.
Leaving the girls in the midst of Claire still missing - with no leads at that - proved to be a disaster when Leon returned home. Izzy was always a bit clingy when he came back from missions - Olivia was still a bit too young to truly understand how long Leon was gone - but with her Mommy also gone and not real answers to her questions about it, she jacked it up about ten levels. Leon has explained to Izzy that there was an accident at work and Mommy would be gone for a while. She shouldn’t worry though because uncle Chris was looking for her and she would be home soon. That was still a bit hard for a three year old to grasp. Most of her time was spent following her Daddy around the house to the point that Leon had almost tripped over her a few times.
Leon had his own breaking point about three weeks after his return. It had been an extremely hard last few days. Izzy hadn’t wanted to go to day care at all that week for fear that her Mommy might come home while she was away. Leon didn’t have the heart to argue with her about it and, besides, it wasn’t like he had to go to work at the moment. Having a four month old who needed a lot of attention at home with his three year old would be a lot under normal circumstances. It was safe to say that these were not normal circumstances.
Liv had been crying for what had felt like hours. Leon wasn’t sure how long he’d been in the nursery with her, pacing across the room cooing and rocking. Really trying everything he could think of to get her to calm down. The sudden switch to formula had not gone over well with the baby and while this seemed to be a consistent pattern, Olivia having more trouble than usual falling and staying asleep, tonight it seemed even worse.
“I know, little bug, I know. I miss Mommy too.”
That only seemed to make the little girl cry harder.
“Daddy,” Izzy wandered into the nursery, obviously tired and rubbing at her eyes, “I no sleep.”
“I know, princess. I’m sorry your sister is keeping you up. I’m trying.”
“Mommy know how make Livy sleep.”
“Well, unfortunately, I’m not Mommy. I’m trying my best Izzy. Can you go back to your room for me? Go lay down and I’ll be there in a minute.”
Leon really wished it had been him. Claire was so great with the girls. He loved him with all his heart and when they got to the other side of this dark tunnel, Leon vowed that he was going to spend so much more time with them. All of them.
“No, I want Mommy! Where’s Mommy?”
Leon wasn’t sure what made him do what he did next. Well, that’s a lie. He was tired and stretched to the end of his rope and he was trying his best but damn it he really missed his wife. Having two kids to worry about left him little time to process what was going on for himself.
“So do I, Izzy! But I don’t know where Mommy is and I don’t know how to do this. I’m trying my best so just… stop! Stop and go lay down.”
Leon was stunned. Izzy seemed stunned. So did Olivia as she had stopped crying. He couldn’t believe what had just happened. He yelled at his daughter. How could he do that?
Tears began to form in Isabell’s eyes. She turned and ran into her room as fast as she could. Leon didn’t know what to do. He’d managed to get one of his girls to stop crying but had made the other start.
He stayed in the nursery for a few more moments, gently rocking Olivia to make sure she’d drift off to sleep and, hopefully, stay asleep. All the while he could hear the sound of Isabell crying into her pillow. Eventually, Leon placed Liv into her crib and tiptoed his way into the hall.
He paused outside the door to Izzy’s room. She must have shut it on her way in which was uncharacteristic of her. She always asked for the door to be cracked when she went to bed at night. That way the night light from the hallway could brighten up the corner of her room that her’s couldn’t reach. Leon looked to his right only to be met with Claire’s smiling face. A collage of pictures were carefully framed to show some of their happiest moments together as a family - their wedding day, when they told their family that Claire was pregnant, pictures from when both the girls were born, birthdays and Christmases. Looking at those photos Leon couldn’t help the dark thoughts from creeping in. What if they never found Claire? What if she never got to see their girls grow up and make picture collages with their own families one day?
He pinched his wrist to ground himself. Thinking like that never gets you anywhere good. It certainly wasn’t going to solve his major fuck up.
“Izzy,” he called gently before opening her door, “I’m sorry ok? Daddy’s just really stressed and I didn’t mean anything I said.”
His little girl was curled up in a ball on her bed hugging a small, stuffed duck like her life depended on it. Leon recognized it as the one Claire had gotten for her a few weeks before everything happened. It had been an impulse buy. She said it had just reminded her of Izzy and she felt she needed to have it. Leon was glad she had something to remind her of her Mommy. Something to give her comfort when he couldn’t.
“Can I come in?” Leon felt it was only right to ask before he approached her bed.
Izzy nodded, burrowing her face further into her duck. She mumbled out an apology. That just made Leon feel even worse.
“You have nothing to be sorry about. I’m sorry Princess, please forgive me? I love you and your sister so much. I’m really trying, baby, but I really miss Mommy too.”
Slowly, Izzy moved so Leon could hold her. For a minute, he was afraid of holding her too tight but maybe holding onto her tight was the only thing that could keep his heart from shattering into pieces. He couldn’t help himself from crying silently as he placed kisses on her daughter’s head.
“I don’t know where Mommy is right now but I know that she's gonna come home to us.”
“Promise?”
No, he couldn’t promise that. But he would if it meant his baby girl could sleep just a little better at night. Even if it meant more sleepless nights for himself.
“So what if I’m jealous?” and/or “I heard you and ___ had lunch.” with cleon please! TYSM LY❤️
We’re staring off with some good, wholesome SFW (a connected NSFW work to follow 😊)
- - - - - - -
“I heard you and Neil had lunch today.”
At her husband’s words, Claire looked up from where she had been feeding baby Isabelle. Leon was sitting on the other side of the table nursing a cup of coffee while, presumably, catching up on some email from work on his laptop.
“I did. He invited me to join him and he’s my boss - couldn’t exactly say no.” She turned back to the baby who was making grabby hands for the spoon. Claire was glad her little girl was such a good eater - she never had to fight to get her to eat even the… oddest… of baby foods.
Leon made a noncommittal noise at her response. Claire sent him a look,
“Is there a problem with me eating lunch with Neil?”
“No, just thought it was interesting that you would agree to lunch with a man who clearly has the hots for you.”
Claire sat up straight, temporarily forgetting about orange-colored baby food and the hungry child seated in the high chair in front of her.
“Has the hots - please tell me you aren’t jealous of Neil Fisher.” She laughed. She was honestly only joking, so his answer genuinely surprised her.
He closed his laptop and moved to the sink behind her to wash out his now empty mug.
“So what if I’m jealous? Anyone would be upset if another man was drooling all over their wife.”
“He does not drool over me. Now you’re just being overdramatic.”
He placed the mug in the drying rack before turning around to face her,
“No, I’m not. That company mixer last month? The man’s chin was wet after looking at you in that dress Claire.”
Isabell began to protest at her meal being interrupted.
“Oh! I’m sorry baby girl, Mommy got distracted for a bit because Daddy is just being so silly.”
Leon scoffed, rolling his eyes.
“Ok, so say he was drooling over me in my dress. I would just like to remind you that it was you who took that dress off of me at the end of the night.” she winked, “Quite violently may I add.”
He blushed.
“Wait, was that what that night was about? Here I thought you just really liked that dress - “
“I did!” Leon protested.
“ - but this whole time it was just because you were jealous?”
Leon grumbled something under his breath too low for her to hear. Claire placed Isabell, now with a full belly, into her father’s arms.
“ Look, whenever you get jealous again - especially over something as silly as lunch - just remember that I married you. We even have a kid Leon.” Said kid was slowly beginning to nod off, head comfortably resting on Leon’s chest.
“I know I just, sometimes I can’t help it; something about Neil doesn’t sit right with me.”
“Something about any man who isn’t you or Chris looking at me doesn’t sit right with you.” She lowered her tone at the end in a mocking manner that made Leon smile.
“Plus, Neil knows that, at the end of the day, I’m married to a DSO agent that could totally kick his ass if he ever tried anything.”
“After you’ve finished, of course.”
“Of course.”
They both share a laugh at both the truth and absurdity in the statements made. Claire can’t begrudge Leon for his jealousy; it’s a natural thing and she has to admit she’s felt it herself from time to time.
Isabelle let’s put a tiny yawn disrupting Claire’s thoughts. Unsurprisingly, Leon immediately switches to Daddy mode - jealous concerns placated for now.
“Is my princess sleepy? Yes she is, isn't she? You’ve had a long day Izzy, I think it’s time for bed.” He plants a kiss on the little girls head before planting another onto Claire’s lips.
“I love you.” She calls after him as he retreats up the stairs to begin their daughter’s bedtime ritual - while Izzy may be a good eater, she does not do well when her daily rituals are broken.
“Love you more Angel.” Comes his voice as he reaches the upstairs landing.
“Doubt it.” That, she whispered to herself.
As she finishes cleaning up the kitchen, Claire mentally catalogues Leon’s reaction to Neil, both tonight’s and last weeks, and decides that, occasionally, maybe it wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world to make her husband jealous. Ya know, just from time to time. She always did like it when he was extra possessive.
SHERRY MEETING CLEON’S BABY PL E A SE (I need it so bad)
It took a hot minute but..... HERE WE GO!
“Oh, she’s so cute! I always knew you two would make beautiful babies.” Sherry cooed, eyes never leaving the small bundle Claire had placed in her arms.
“Is that why younger you was so dead set on Claire and I being together?”
Sherry laughed at Leon’s comment. She brushed it off jokingly, not really wanting to ruin this moment with those darker memories - even if during the brief time they spent together she felt more a part of a family than she had in the several years preceding that horrible night.
“ You know, I really hope your sense of humor isn’t genetic because it would really suck if your daughter inherits that. “ The jab was said almost senselessly as all of Sherr’s attention was back on baby Isabel who seemed to be contently sleeping in her arms.
“Well then, “Claire’s voice floated in from the kitchen where she had been finishing cleaning up from dinner, “ it will be your job as her big sister to teach her the right way from the Leon way.”
Leon’s cry of indignation went right over Sherry’s head. The young blonde was too busy focusing on the words Claire had just said.
“Big sister?”
Leon and Claire ended their playful bickering and turned their full attention to where she was sitting on the couch
“Of course, you know we kind of see you as our first daughter.”
“I mean, only if you’re comfortable with that. We don’t want to seem like we’re replacing your real parents or anything.”
For a moment, Sherry didn’t know what to say.
I’m honored?
Yes, please?
Don’t worry, you guys are more of a parent to me than my real ones ever were?
Sherry knew that wasn’t fair. William and Annette did love her and they tried their best. Their best was really all they could ever give.
“Sometimes kids need more than just their biological parents. Found family is important to which is why I’m so excited to be Izzy’s big sister.”
That seemed to assuage Claire’s fears and no, that was definitely not a tear she was whipping off her face and everyone should just leave her alone because her hormones were still regulating!
The baby in her arms started to get restless, perhaps sensing the attention was no longer on her. Or, Sherry thought as a certain stench started to waft towards her nose, she was in desperate need of a new diaper.
“So, since I’m just the big sister that means I don’t have to deal with gross, stinky diapers!” Sherry carefully handed the baby over to Claire, her bubbly personality lighting the slight tension in the room.
“Oh,” Claire cooed at the little girl who was now beginning to cry, “ My baby needs a change and that’s Daddy’s job.”
Sherry giggled as Claire passed the baby on to Leon who seemed genuinely confused.
“Since when were diaper changes strictly my job?” he complained but still stood up with the baby, making his way to the nursery upstairs.
“ Well honey if you want to defend your shitty humor you get stuck with the shitty duties.
“Literally!” Sherry finished off Claire’s joke.
Both women high five, falling on their sides with laughter. Immediately Leon’s complaints switched from diaper duty to the lack of appreciation for good jokes.
It was moments like these when Sherry truly felt that she had found her family.
....but I just had to fight off a wasp in my room (because no one else in my family would help a girl out) and it got me thinking,
so in my perfect, beautiful capcom universe that totally exists Claire and Leon have 2 little girls (this is me also trying to decided if Claire and Leon would have 3 kids, i think it would be a fun dynamic to explore but I digress).
Leon has special nicknames for each of his girls Claire is “Angle”, Isabelle (the oldest) is “Princess” and then he calls his youngest, Olivia “little bug” (i explained why in my fic training wheels so read that if you want the story)
anway, fighting off that wasp made me think of who would fight off bugs in the Cleon household and the basic conclusion I came to was Leon. Claire would 100% do it if she didn’t have a choice but why when you’ve got a perfectly good lacky named Leon S. Kennedy to do it for you? And now, we get to the main point of this post so
tl;dr this is how I HC bug fighting going in the Cleon household have little Olivia is old enough to understand whats going on
Claire: Leon! get it out of here!
Leon: Chill Claire, it’s just a spider
Claire: I don’t care! its a bug and it’s in my house - more importantly my kitchen! Just kill it!
Olivia: No mommy! You can’t kill it!
Claire: You’re right, I can’t - Daddy is.
Olivia: Daddy you can’t! A spider is a bug and i’m a little bug so you can’t kill it!
Leon: *currently laughing his ass off at both his wife and his daughter*
Claire: Ok don’t kill it I don’t care but it can't stay here!
