i need to start looking for a dress to wear to my graduation in may. do you have any recommendations for a boutiquey store for something pretty and reasonably priced (i'll probably want to order it online over in-store shopping)?
oh do i ever! graduation is tough because you want to look scholastic but also celebratory (yay, no more school!!). from what i can see, looks like you love your vintage and if you're like me, you're looking for something that fits the occassion but would also be appropriate to wear again -- whether its for work, a wedding, etc.
here's a few of my favorite boutiques -- they all provide great, beautiful pieces all at very reasonable costs (so your money can do to paying back those school loans -- or errr drinks afterward).
ChicShop.ca- this boutique has both new and vintage items and the cost and one-of-a-kind feel to every piece is the best i've seen in a long time. i love the 'billie dress' below, which is $40.
Clevernettle - i find myself exploring this etsy shop almost once a week. the items are curated from the best of the 50's - 90's. this 'metallic garden sequin party dress' is $40 and would look great at graduation and out for the drinks i assume you'll be having afterwards.
My Loved One- another favorite etsy shop with the prettiest collection of dresses that make you feel so girly! this 'beige wool wiggle dress with rhinestones' is only $32 and would work for spring weddings and fancy dinner parties too!
Monsoon - this UK boutique has a range of styles all for a great price. if you're looking for something a little more 'smart' looking, i'd recommend this 'navy georgia shift dress' for $70.
