The Doctor had a fancy for some coffee. This rarely happened. In fact, it hadn’t happened yet in this body. The taste was in his mouth, however, since his trip to the planet with the slight coffee content in the air. He was also experiencing a slight elevation of caffeine in his bloodstream. Purchasing a cup, he actually did pay this time and then set about wandering along the streets.
He strolled along with few cares. He was actually in a rather good mood. A bounce in his step leading him down one street then another. Until he saw something that drew his attention. Coming to a stop beside a utility pole, he leaned closer and reached up to pull something off of it.
An envelope. Addressed to him.
The Doctor, 2013, September.
He arched a brow and looked around, then tucked the envelope in his pocket. Odd. Not exactly address, but rather close. He finished off his cup of coffee, making a rather disgusted face. His tongue flailed around trying to get the taste off, but he was failing rather miserably. “Coffee. Blegh.” Disposing of the cup, he started walking the streets again, forgetting the envelope for the time.
