Looking through old memes, fanart and general things for CLH genuinely sucks so much sometimes, not just because “wow we used to have so much coming and now we’re basically just a bunch of people who live in the same apartment block and only occasionally check on eachother and it really was so much better!”

I mean I do feel that but also it’s just how rampant the hatred for Sarah was (and still is, I see some of you and I automatically assume you’ve got a bias caused by a love for only One Source Material or you’ve got something backwards you need to check but it’s definitely founded in some form of internalised bigotry. Probably a mix of a few actually. Her very existence is a litmus test that so many people fail I swear to fucking god).

Like I’ll just be scrolling and see the most daft take known to man and the fact that there’s people out there who think her entire thing is somehow worse than Red, Alex, Pey’j or all of the above is insanely disappointing. Like either it’s a take from someone too young to be here or a raging misogynist who needs to be humbled immediately. Bonus points if they also ignore or hate Dolph… I know exactly what that kind of person is.

Sorry for being a bit of a downer but like… it gets quite tiresome looking back. Do I love it here? Yes of course! But also sometimes looking at how it was when we were larger I’m so glad we’re smaller now and are mostly open to interpretation that goes beyond the usual.

The essay also focuses on scapegoating and the existence of women who are only ever allowed to be plot-#devices and any form of personal arc or anything will immediately be thrown by either fanbase or creator due to a man of any standing in-#their life. It’s a neat thought and I can’t wait to break into the meat of that discussion.
