Post-production of client shoots
New Site: Clients and Portrait Photography, an Etsy page, and my first client testimonial
Hey everyone, as you may know, I have been doing all kinds of portrait work to make some money. I have had this new site up for a little under a month - it's specifically for client shoots and my portrait photography. Unfortunately I only have 5 posts so far (it's really a blog in disguise, but it looks pretty a-okay for a blog, if you ask me), but three more in the works. Things have been so hectic! After getting my tonsillectomy and being out of commission for 2 weeks, I went to Florida to help renovate my childhood home that was destroyed by our last renter. Physical labor all day, every day for two weeks made it very difficult to a) not get business and b) there was very little time to blog. But now I am back in RVA, I spend all my time applying for jobs, networking, making flyers, making business cards, running errands, and blogging. It sounds easy, but I actually feel overwhelmed and I am desperate to get some clients! It's hard for me because I don't have a network here in VA and Richmond kind of dies in the summer... First testimonial!
I was lucky enough to find Sandy Whittington when I needed a new, high-quality portrait for my website and social network profiles. She replied to my inquiry immediately and she outlined exactly what she could provide and quoted me a very reasonable fee. My favorite thing about working with Sandy was the care she took in making sure I had a suitable and attractive background for my pictures. I wanted an outdoor shot, so we walked around a Richmond neighborhood until we found just the right location. Following the shoot, she patiently helped me choose the best photos from the dozens that she took. From start to finish, Sandy was a pleasure to work with, and I’ll certainly use her services again and recommend her to others. – Matthew Killorin

And I finally have an etsy page up, to sell my knitted items! It's not complete, but many of my items will be made-to-order... so... yes. Still need to get more stuff up there, though.
