Description
In August 1561, 18-year-old Mary Queen of Scots departed France to return to Scotland after her husband, King Francis II, died, ending her time as French Queen. The voyage was filled with anxiety and omen-filled fog,, as she passed the English coast. She landed in Leith on August 19, 1561, returning to a Protestant Scotland as a Catholic monarch, initiating her tumultuous personal rule.

Dover Castle is maybe the most haunted place I've ever visited. The most intense "shine" I've gotten in a single instance was in Berlin, but this venue was the "loudest" overall.
