So, since Cliffsaurus was mentioned, I have been reminded of an old idea that combines my favorite tropes with one of my rarest ships. Specifically fake relationship/arranged marriage.
Basically, Cliffjumper, due to an issue with employment, has been staying with Bumblebee post-war. He doesn't hate his brother, but if you've ever lived with a relative that was accidentally patronizing, then you know what's up. He is going to kill his brother if he has to stay longer.
Deathsaurus meanwhile keeps having his paperwork to stay in Iacon rather than return to more Decepticon pastures rejected. He may or may not be in a memo war with Prowl. He refuses to lose everything he's built up just because the peace agreement hasn't caught up with living situations, so he is looking for the best and quickest way to stay.
Marry someone with citizenship.
Specifically an Autobot. Which makes him cringe.
But then he runs into Cliffjumper, who comes to his apartment by mistake for a roommate ad. Deathsaurus and he have history, and Cliffjumper is someone Deathsaurus respects for getting the jump on him.
Deathsaurus lies halfway about needing a roommate and shows off his place to a Cliffjumper who doesn't run at least fifty percent to show he isn't intimidated.
Then, when Cluffjumper is thoroughly ensorcelled, he springs the catch, and they hammer out the details when Deathsaurus realizes honesty works best. Cliffjumper figures Deathsaurus isn't actually the worst person he knows and after doing some research finds he has improved post-war. He agrees.
Cue fake marriage montage.
