Watch the 10th episode of the Klimatotohanan webcast series entitled "Grounded: Southeast Asian Forest, Our Roots," which will deep dive into the current state of forests in Southeast Asia, climate change and other key drivers of forest degradation and deforestation in the region, and ongoing forest restoration efforts. Joining us this episode are the following Climate Reality Leaders from Philippines and Indonesia who are working to preserve our forests: 1. Anne Marie Mananquil Bakker, Director of Partnerships at the Fostering Education & Environment for Development, Inc. (FEEDInc)— a non-profit organization that aims to restore, preserve, and protect biodiversity in the Philippines through integrated social forestry programs, community development, livelihood initiatives, scholarship programs, and scientific and practical research; 2. Dr. Puji Rianti, former radio broadcaster who is now an active environmental activist, writer, as well as a lecturer at the Animal Ecology and Biosystematics Division, Department of Biology, FMIPA IPB University (Fmipa IPB) in Indonesia; 3. Mahardika Putra Purba, former Program Director and currently Research and Program Consultant of Alam Sehat Lestari (ASRI), a non-government organization based in Borneo focusing on the interconnection between human and environmental health; and 4. Raiza Mae Togado, Forest Monitoring Officer for the Philippines’ Department of Environment and Natural Resources-National Greening Program.
