I love being an artist, but at times it can be very hard to allow myself to express anything and want to show it. Few months ago, I decided to take on a idea I had to get a wide format printer. With the help of Kickstarter, some fans and friends, the dream started to become a reality. But as soon as I started to jump up and down when the printer arrived, I quickly realized that something was wrong (broken printhead) and had to ship it back. The process of shipping it back, with trying to get my FULL refund (they wanted a restocking fee :/) ,took longer than expected and even though it’s a small bump, really damper my spirt. Was stressing internally, which started to manifest itself externally. I was losing sleep, couldn’t find a creative line or see colors, nothing but my own creative nightmare. I got some inspiration from “the Old Guitarist” Love that painting, for me, it represented a man still holding desperately to his dream and passion, beaten up by failures, hungry, alone but still holding himself up with his own dying ambitions. It really spoke to me so I decided to my own version.
