Clinard Dance Theatre has taught Flamenco dance classes from beginner through professional levels for 12 years. The intimate studio environment and small class sizes support a personalized learning experience. Founder and Artistic Director Wendy Clinard has been performing and teaching the art of Flamenco for the past 15 years. Clinard has spent years researching the roots of flamenco. Her classes offer a comprehensive flamenco foundation. SPRING Session SPRING Session begins the week of ARPIL 24th through JUNE 8th. This 7 week session is designed to continue and expand on ongoing flamenco studies at Clinard Dance Theatre as well as welcome and encourage new students. **PUNCH CARDS Punch Cards work in half hour increments at $8 per punch. Students can purchase as many punches as they like. Punch cards expire at the end of the SPRING Session on Friday JUNE 8th, 2012. Which level are you? BEGINNER BEGINNER no previous flamenco dance experience BEGINNER /INTERMEDIATE 1 to 3 years flamenco dance experience INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED 3 to 5 years flamenco dance experience Performance Workshops **These classes are dedicated to the study of a specific “palo”/form. Students will study the structure and choreography of a given “palo”; there will be live singing and guitar accompaniment for some of these classes. Beginner / Beginner This series of classes are reserved for students with no previous flamenco studies. Wednesdays Apr 25 & May 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 & June 6 Fridays Apr 27 & May 4, 11, 18, 25 & June 1, 8 FLAMENCO FLOOR BARRE All levels Welcome These classes consist of focused stretches that support students to develop their centers or abdominal regions. An articulate center is key to dynamic feet and a musical upper body and turns. Wednesdays & Fridays 10-11am PUNCH CARD** or 7 classes once a week - $119 14 classes twice a week - $191 ARMS, FEET and TURNS SERIES Multi-level, Minimum of 1 year experience These classes are inspired by Clinard's studies with flamenco dancer Ciro at Amor De Dios in Madrid. Ciro would develop one area of flamenco dancing within each class. Wednesdays & Fridays 11-12:30p PUNCH CARD** or 7 classes once a week - $154 14 classes twice a week - $255 CHILDREN’S Flamenco CLASSES for ages of 5 to 12 years In the children's class students explore flamenco songs and palmas (hand-clapping), learn about different time signatures, and play rhythm games. Students also learn basic flamenco dance techniques and learn a short choreographed dance to enhance their overall coordination. Thursday Afternoons April 26, May 3, 10, 17, 24, 31, June 7 3-4pm 7 classes once a week - $112 Don’t miss out on 2nd FRIDAYS! NEXT CDT Studio Performances MAY 11th and June 8th shows at 8 and 9 pm These performances provide students with a non-threatening opportunity to share their flamenco studies with friends, family and the public.
