MAKI
I've been working on a clothing project for about three years now, and I finally have a comprehensive wardrobe solution I'm happy with. And to top it off, it works for lots of other women as well - how convenient! It's been a very exciting ride, and I've had the opportunity to work with several amazingly talented people, from clients to collaborators. Juliet Hone is one of my earliest smarter clothing cohorts. She's a sweater designer and color maven I met in 2006 while in the early stages of development. Juliet worked part time at the store, so she really had a grasp of what women are looking for - their likes and dislikes, concerns and special requests. Her hand loom knit products always sold well, because they were unique, beautiful, well made, affordable, and exactly what people were looking for. She was my ear to the ground for product development, as well as a collaborator on some new designs. Here's a two-way tunic dress we collaborated on: Photography by aeric meredith-goujon
