Like, Satoru Nii could have easily taken the route from hundreds of shounen manga before, that just use their LGBT+ character's romantic life as the butt of a joke, and it's UNTHINKABLE they'd ever have a romantic interest that reciprocates their feelings....
And although I don't have high expectations that Umemiya will reciprocate Tsubakino's feelings, he hasn't rejected Tsubakino despite being aware of their feelings, so I take it he's still thinking about it because he wants to give Tsubakino's feelings the consideration & respect they deserve. I'm hoping for the "let's start first by getting to know each other better :)" ending.................. I'd die.

i REALLY love that detail in Blue Flag that whenever Toma's feelings for Taichi are mentioned, they're always implied rather than straight up said. The only time the words "i love Taichi" are ever said was when Toma made up his mind to say them himself. It's like the author is giving him the consideration of "you're the one that gets to let others know your feelings at your own pace, the readers don't have to hear it yet if you don't want them to :)"
it's like he's saying it for Toma, but also the readers who might be struggling with the same issues......... aaah
