Understandably, Ororo’s focus had been on the current crisis that lead New York City to another planet. She had personally felt the shift in atmospheric pressure, personally experienced the shift in weather, the intensity of the heat, the lack of moisture in the air, and while Ororo hadn’t yet expressed her insight into the weather patterns, she intended to share it with the X-Men inevitably, once she collected more information. The best way to gain knowledge about their surroundings was to explore them personally, and with only a few options with mutants who could fly, Warren immediately came to mind. Not only was Angel a close friend, but Ororo trusted him with her life.
When Warren met her outside the X-Mansion, Ororo immediately offered her friend a smile. No longer leaving Warren to wait in anticipation, she said, “I have a plan.” A rough plan, but she was confident that together, Angel and Storm could combat any demons that dared invade their airspace. “I was hoping that we could fly across the barrier and investigate how many demons there truly are. I know it’s dangerous, but I trust you, and if you trust me…” she trailed off, allowing Warren to finish the sentence. It was clear what Ororo hoped for.
