When Maleficent held control of Hollow Bastion, she came into possession of Ansem's Report. Sora stole most of its pages from her allies during his first journey, but Maleficent had carefully hidden several pages of the report in the Hollow Bastion library for safekeeping. She poured over that report countless times, but now with her quest to find the Book of Prophecies, another glance over would be warranted. After all, maybe there was something she missed. And even if there wasn't, the Hollow Bastion library was one of the most well stocked in all the worlds. If any place had information she could use, it was this library.
Breaking into the castle was no easy task with Cid's security measures being designed specifically to keep her out, but Maleficent always found a way. Her Heartless and goons tore through the shelves, desperately searching for the reports and any books containing clues.
"Hear me, my minions! Find me the knowledge I seek, or there shall be painful consequences for all of you!"
Maleficent assumed the castle was empty and that she could conduct her search uninterrupted, for no one had told her of the return of Ansem's apprentices...
