I have a solid theory as to who will be in the Escape the Night Season 5 cast.

Also, spoiler alert for those who haven’t seen seasons 1-4.

Ok, so my theory is that the souls in the Jar of Souls are going to be the Season 5 cast. And the people from the jar are going to save Joey from Pandora’s Box.

Now, we know of 6 people in the jar of souls.

Liza Koshy, who was literally put there in Episode 1 of Season 4.

Shane Dawson, LaurDiy, Jesse Wellens, Manny MUA, and Safiya Nygaard.

Now, I’m really excited because those are some of my favorite characters.

I’m assuming Joey will also be in it because, you know, it’s literally his show.

But, each season has 10-11 people including Joey. so that means that there are probably 3-4 more souls in the Jar.

There is also a chance that the 3-4 people will include Bretman, Colleen, Nikita, and Mat. But I’m hoping that they’re just the SAE members who help the YouTubers with their journey.

Also I’m pretty sure that there are only going to be 10 people, since literally every season (except for S1) has 10 people.

So who are the other three souls in the jar?

It honestly could be anyone who fits this criteria:

A: Isn’t a survivor

B: Didn’t die in Season 4.

This list includes Andrea B, GloZell, Sierra, Matt H, Lele, JC, Roi, and Teala.

Really it could be any of those people, but when I looked at statistics from season 4, how many dudes and girls are in each season, times of death, and a few other factors, I got a pretty good idea of the three other souls in the jar.

So every single season has an almost equal amount of dudes and gals, counting Joey (Season 1 has 6 girls and 5 dudes, every other season has 5 and 5.)

Assuming Season 5 will be the same, then the three unknown souls in the jar are one dude and two girls, since we already have Liza, Jesse, Lauren, Manny, Saf, and Shane (3 and 3)

If Joey counts, which I’m sure he does since it’s his show, that’s 4 guys and 3 girls.

So we’re looking for 1 guy and 2 girls.

Now I started looking at Time of Death in the season, or TOD, to see if it had any connection.

Season 4 had characters who were previously dead. Their previous deaths accounted as 2 early deaths (Justine, DeStorm) 2 mid deaths (Tana, Colleen) and 4 late deaths (Tim, Alex, Ro, and Gabbie)

Now, the confirmed souls already have three early deaths (Lauren, Jesse, and Shane), one mid-season death (Liza) and two late deaths (Manny and Saf)

I’m assuming that there could be 0-1 early death people, 1-3 mid-season death people, and 1-2 late death people based on statistics.

The question is, who are these people?

Well, we can rule out Andrea, JC, and Roi. I just don’t think that there would be that many early deaths. Being said, Teala is an early/mid death, so I’m not going to rule her out.

None of the mid-season deaths can be ruled out because there could be up to three of them.

Finally, we have Lele. Lele is the ONLY late death. Which means that, surprise surprise, she’s one of the three souls! A lot of people wanted her back last season so it would be a smart move on the ETN production people (is that a thing?) to put her back in. Also, she was one of the people on the gem in season 3, so I feel like they always meant to bring her back eventually.

Now we have three late deaths. I think it’s safe to assume that there will also be three mid-season deaths and three early deaths.

There are already three early deaths, which brings us to the mid deaths. The last category.

And I was super excited when I figured this one out.

So, we need a dude. Only one. And guess what? There’s only one option left.

ITS MY BOY MATT!

I was rooting for him throughout this whole thing I did, and when I finally figured out that he is one of the most probable options, I was STOKED. I’m aware that everyone hates him, but I don’t, so I’m happy.

We’re down to the final soul. I was confident in my first answer, but now that I rethink it, it could be one of two girls.

So lastly is GloZell, Sierra, and Teala.

Season 4 had two people from season 1, four people from season 2, and two people from season 3.

The jar of souls currently has three people from season 1, three people from season 2, and two people from season 3.

Now, this could go one of three ways.

GloZell comes back and gets revenge on Joey.

Sierra comes back and cures Matt’s depression.

Teala comes back and... does Teala things?

I don’t think GloZell will be one of the people to rescue Joey from Pandora’s Box. He literally killed her and she definitely wouldn’t help the group save him.

So that leaves it to Sierra and Teala.

I feel like if Sierra comes back, Matt also has to be there, because she’s literally most remembered for being killed by him during the exorcism.

And if there is actually a fourth unknown soul in the jar, which there may be, since Joey is trapped and may not be a part of the group next season, then that changes everything. Andrea, JC, and Roi could even be the fourth soul if it exists. But I think that since Joey stars in the show, that he will be a part of the group.

I truly think that it could be either Teala or Sierra. If they have the same amount of people from each season, then it would be Teala. If they double the season 1 number from Season 4, then it would be Sierra.

But hey, that’s just a theory.

A theory that took me way too long to research and make.

(Ha, you thought I was gonna say film theory. I didn’t.)

TL;DR: Matt is my favorite and I’m pretty sure he’s one of the unkown souls in the jar of souls, as is Lele, and maybe Sierra or Teala. And the people in the Jar of Souls may be the Season 5 cast.
