Clone Wars EraSunette Corda - a Pantoran Jedi Artisan who never wanted or expected to be chosen as aPadawan learner, happy to spend her days studying ancient lightsaber texts andtechniques, trying to relearn the exceptional powers described in the OldRepublic texts. She also studied Force healing as the CloneWars advanced, and was deployed a few times for this exact skill, but believedher talents lay behind the front lines.Herbelief that creativity is a central aspect of the will of the Force enables herto combine various techniques and become almost entirely unpredictable incombat. Develops a close relationship with the clone troopers under herMaster’s command – designs tattoos and unique hairstyles.
Jya’hal - Sunette’s best friend in the Order, and another Jedi of atypical occupation. A Zabrak member of Explorcorps who is responsible for chipping away at the edges of the Unknown Regions for months at a time, Jya’hal is a mischief maker and my favorite line that I’ve ever written about any OC belongs to her: “Jya’halwould sometimes vanish for months, only to reappear with a fouler mouth and afuller map than when she departed.” As ‘nontraditional’ Jedi, Sunette and Jya’hal ran wild on Coruscant before Sunette’s reassignment.
Dasaed sa Magre - Aninfamous and highly successful Jedi General during the Clone Wars, sa Magre wasa human Corellia native who commanded the formidable 309th Legion inOuter Rim territories that threatened to fall to Separatist space. A nasty piece of work who has somehow managed to twist the Jedi Oath into something far more sinister than it is - and to make matters worse, he believes without a shadow of a doubt that he is morally upright man.
Commander Zeth - CC-7812 is sa Magre’s second-in-command and almost as strict as the General, but in a different way, and for a different reason. He’s cautious, quiet, highly observant, and very, very protective of his brothers. Zeth comes off as coarse and harsh, but it is a thick protective layer against the brutal realities of constant war. Has several distinguishing scars and tattoos - a full back and two full sleeves of tight, intricate blackwork that would require close observation to decipher.
Empire EraClone troopers Aloev and Blackthorn were part of Nursery Company, so called because part of their Jedi General’s mission was to shelter and care for the myriad of war orphans after Republic victories while providing relief. After Order 66, they ‘wake up’ to find themselves on a Republic shuttle with three young babies (ages 3, 2, 1 respectively):
Danae -female Dathomirian, pale white, silver hair, dark gray skin patterns, black eyes, prosthetic legs from mid-thigh down (lost in the attack of her home by a Separatist bomb)
Brynmei - female Miraluka, medium tan skin, blonde very curly hair
Sanfiti - male pale orange Twi’lek, blue eyes, missing left lek (lost by shrapnel injuries)
Unsure of what else to do, they basically adopt the children and learn about childcare on the fly. And I mean, they have some idea because of the nature of their assignments, but still. A lot to learn. Eventually, through random hired work, Aloev and Blackthorn manage to upgrade their stolen Republic shuttle to a larger ‘house ship’ called the Hornbeam. And they also pick up another refugee:
Alaenor Themis - a bitter ex-Guardian of the Whills who left Jedha for reasons she keeps tightly under wraps but who stays on with the ‘family’ after they offer her passage off-planet and she helps them out of a tight spot with a surprise Imperial inspection. She’s around 18 years old when she joins them, and so becomes the lovable but distant cousin that the kids all look up to.
i also have a bunch for shipping purposes with other people but these are my two Main Groups!! found families are my JAM, yo ❤❤
Better Than the Holodramas
HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY @silversong79 !! How on earth do I even begin to describe how much I love you...? We’ve had so many incredible, wonderful chats - about our OCs, about the difficulties of finding motivation to write, about our favorite tropes of diner dates and tall flustered boys, about the importance of how the dragon can always be defeated... I love you SO MUCH and I hope your twenty-first birthday is a BLAST ❤❤❤❤
Ripley was laying on his back, legs propped up so that his heels were resting on the bunk above his. The barracks were mostly silent at this point - most of the brothers were asleep by now. He was mindlessly scrolling through his datapad, waiting for his watch to begin, when his comms beeped. Loudly. And was immediately met with a storm of protestations.
“Ripley!”
“Come on, brother...”
“Shut that kriffing thing off or I will-”
Ripley ducked out of his bunk under the barrage of verbal assaults and into the hallway before answering it. “Yes, sir?”
“Come to the hanger, trooper.” Commander Zeth, always frugal with his words. The 309th joked that if Zeth answered a comm with an actual greeting, he was either extremely sick or speaking to General Corda.
“...Sir?”
“Hanger. Now.” The comms snapped off and Ripley was left alone to worry he had somehow misread the start time of his watch - and he’d taken off his chest armor, anticipating a few hours to watch this week’s Lakeshore Naboo, his favorite holodrama - but that didn’t matter now, and apparently he didn’t have time to go throw on his armor. So Ripley jogged to the hanger in his blacks, the Republic insignia emblazoned on his chest, his plastoid armor clipping pleasantly in the wide empty halls of the Rylothian palace where they had taken up residence. It was, like most of their missions these days, a simple relief mission - to bring food, water, medical equipment to war-torn worlds.
Ripley turned the corner to the hanger and braced himself for the inevitable lecture. Commander Zeth and General Corda were standing about fifteen feet past the doorway, their backs to him as they talked to someone Ripley couldn’t see. A small Coruscanti transport was docked and powering down, which was unusual, to say the least. He took a breath and called out, “Commander, General, is there a problem-”
They turned, Zeth was his permanent scowl and General Corda with a kind half-smile, and the words tripped over themselves in his throat when he registered who they had been talking to. He skidded to a halt, shock and confusion and excitement and a deep sort of ache in his chest that he thought might be the electricity of pure, brilliant love all sprinting through his veins at once.
His legs didn’t seem to be working but at last he managed to sputter out, “Stilena?”
