I have Shiv on the brain, being slightly pouty but very romantic and in love with her girl Jesp. Had to write this to share.
Shiv stretched as she walked into the bedroom, peeling off the top of her blacks. The small colony that the clones had settled in with the rest of the GAR and the Jedi that were fed up with life on Coruscant, was going well. Shiv and other vod who took an interest in metal work began to become forgers for every tool they could need.
It still made her laugh seeing Fox be a farmer; but the man deserved a peaceful life with Riyo. They already were expecting a child and Shiv was sure that the entire settlement would throw a party when the little one came.
“Hard day, love?”
Shiv smiled and looked over her shoulder as she used a cloth to cool her neck and clean some of the soot from the forge.
Jesp was a vision in crimson beauty. Her lekku swept near her hips, wrapped in soft fabric. She looked as worn as Shiv felt, but that was the life of a medical expert in a settlement filled with clones and jedi.
“Very. But I’ve got more than enough new tools finished for the harvest and a few new pieces of armor for the hunters. Wolffe will be happy.” Shiv walked forward and wrapped her arms around her Twi’lek girlfriend, kissing her forehead gently.
“You’re getting my scrubs filthy, Shiv!” Jesp laughed and gently pushed away at Shiv, but she only clung tighter.
“Oh they’ll be fine!” Shiv grinned as Jesp continued to laugh and struggle against her hug. “It’ll wash out!”
“Ugh you’re going to stain them! I can’t win against you can I?” Jesp sighed and leaned into Shiv’s chest.
“Nope.” Shiv smiled and loosened her grip just a little before kissing her again, hands wandering down to her hips. “Can’t win at all.” Shiv beamed, wrapping her arms around Jesp’s waist and swaying from side to side.
“Mmm…I guess I can't complain then,” Jesp sighed and wrapped her arms around Shiv’s neck.
They stood swaying together in the bedroom of their home. Although it wasn't too long before Shiv began to hum some wordless tune, gently moving one hand to take Jesp’s. It was slow and easy, just like the love the former clone soldier had.
Shiv closed her eyes as she wordlessly sang, thinking of nothing but how she wanted every moment to be just like that one. Every morning waking up together in their bed with warm blankets. Having meals together or with their extended family. Nights of slow love making, memorizing each detail of each other's skin as time passed.
Not for the first time, Shiv was so happy she would live a full and normal humanoid lifespan. And that she got to spend it with all the people she loved.
