Okay, so, scientists can alter DNA right? And they can make clones right? Okay so, what if we did research to find a way to use this to make biological children for lgbtq+ couples. So for example, let's say a lesbian couple wants to have a baby, so take DNA from both parties, edit the DNA for one so they have male chromosomes instead of female, create sperm from that in a lab, then do the sciencey stuff that causes the new sperm to react to the other parties eggs, and boom! Baby, right? And if it's a couple of two males just do the vise versa. Right? Couldn't that work?

This sounds like a bad idea... Why would we want dinosaurs inhabiting our earth again. That would would mean dangerous predators larger than houses. I mean it is a extremely fascinating scientific development but sounds a little scary.

YogLabs Cloning theory: how cloning works and when it doesnt, with slot

Hello everybody, Slot here. Recently I have been asked maybe 30 times "how come a clone of Honeydew (they call him Simon. how they know his real name is beyond me) could not replace the master instead of the real one?" First of, the original Honeydew died way back in the first months of YogLabs. fortanantly, we had his DNDA on file, and could create the Honeydew master clone from his DNA. A Master Clone must ALWAYS be a first generation sample (the original), or a second generation sample (a clone of the original). If we made a clone of a clone of a clone, the DNA begins to deteriorate at a speed up rate, mutations and errors in the genetic code will occure, and we end up with monsters like Lalanable Hector, who is himself a clone of a clone of a clone of a clone. Very unstable. The reason we could not make a new second generation honeydew was simply: we did not have an original honeydew to replicate. As it is, we are currently geneticaly modifying the current master clone to eliminate the small defects caused by using a second generation clone as a master clone. All his future clones will be third generation clones- very unstable, but not horrible. It will suffer random and unexplainable bouts of rage, often fall into a coma when sleeping, and may have any of a million genetic errors that could cause dangerous homocidle tendencies. So basicly- untill we can repair the second generation's DNA strip, there are no Honeydews. --------------------------------- ((OOC: Hey everybody, sd here.
