I live in a place that's been affected by the carona virus and I know a lot about it beCAUSE IT'S PURE LOGIC. should we wear masks? NO BECAUSE IT'S NOT AIRBORNE! should we shut down schools? YES BECAUSE SCHOOLS ARE A PLAYGROUND FOR SICKNESS! will temprature checks stop the virus spreading faster? NO BECAUSE YOU COULD BE CARRYING IT WITHOUT SHOWING ANY SYMPTOMS! i know everyone is scared here but honestly why the fuck is there still school happening right now. my highschool is right above the early childhood center and those kids are between 2-4 years old, they are in serious danger if they are infected. the administration has switched our schedules and honestly life is miserable at school. we are in class an hald and hour earlier to give time for moving classes around and only a few people are allowed to sit at tables at a time. we have over 4,000 kids at our school and 1,000 staff members. one infected person could easily infect the whole school with how closely we interact. we live in a humid climate where everyone is sweating, sweat is left on things like seats, door handles, books, and railings. the virus can't survive long outside the body but there are always people touching things and eating at school. someone who is infected could spread the virus to the whole school in a week. There have been a couple cases where i live where the government doesn't know who the person got it from. we don't know who is spreading the virus and who they've interacted with. there are taxi drivers everywhere and everyone uses taxis. there is also tons of public transport and sometimes we are packed in like a pack or sardines. everyone is breathing and coughing on each other. no wonder it's spread so fast. in this day and age, teachers can teach from online using live stream services and/or chat rooms. there is no real reason we are going to school when there is such a huge risk. someone who is undiagnosed with the disease could have gotten into a taxi, sneezed, gotten out only for a student from my school to get in, unknowingly touching a part of the taxi that the person sneezed on. the then wipe their eyes or bite their nails. day 0 of the incubation period just started. they go back to school the next day and make out with their significant other or they share a drink with a friend or they sneeze into their hand which they then place on a door handle. Other people repeat the process and surley enough, the whole school is unknowingly infected by the final bell. this could happen tomorrow. everyone says that we shouldn't be scared. i say fuck that. this is scary, people are dying, this could kill our friends and lived ones, there are more people dead and infected than sars, everyone talks about the death rate being low but the truth is that most people haven't been cured or died, they're just sitting there waiting for death or a cure. we have mo idea what's going to happen. at 10pm i recived a text from the gov (im subscribed to a text notification thing) saying that 4 more people have been confirmed with the virus. that number could double by morning because we have no ide where two of them got it. CLOSE SCHOOL BEFORE WE ALL GET INFECTED.
