So I’ve upgraded from the 6 ton A frame press (right) to the 12 ton h frame press (left). And my home made BHO closed column extractor (lower). Luckily harbor freight has an excellent return policy I just brought them the old 6 ton with the bent part visible no box or receipt and they let me pay an extra 30 and get the bigger press even though they asked me how I broke a 6 ton press and I couldn’t really explain it very well trying to avoid telling the guy that I’ve been pressing rosin with the press and parts of an old george foreman which would have surely voided any warranty for improper use. I was pretty baked when I went I there and I just kept telling the guy I was trying to press something and the part bent now I’m going to go get the larger model which should suit my needs better. Anyways now I’m looking to get rid of the George foreman rig and get a couple of proper heated press plates. Any advice I’d like to know if anyone out there has had a lot of success with any brand out there. All I want is great performance for a great price and preferably interchangeable parts just in case something breaks I can easily order and replace the broken element. So let me know if what you all think. I really love the solvent less extractions in my experience much better taste maybe slightly smaller Thc % but not enough to make the decrease in taste worth going with bho instead of rosin. Due to my setup I do produce both but I’d like some input any strains you prefer to press or blast. I believe that the canna community is one where sharing knowledge and advice is what it’s all about helping everyone to produce the best products they can.
