     When the coughing subsided, he knew she had regained consciousness once more. Her pale eyes focused on the man in front of her and her bruised lips parted, but before she could make a sound, Michael placed the gag back in its place. There would be no screaming anymore. This night had to go perfectly.. and that meant no begging or crying.  

      He gave the basement a lasting, sweeping scan before leaving. A place of shadows, dust and death; it was here that he felt most comfortable doing his work. And yet his heart seemed to drum faster with each step he climbed. The same crushing thoughts kept racking his mind over and over and over: What will she think of me? How will she react? Will she love me after this?

      At the end of his climb, he opened the door to find his wife waiting where he knew she would be. She knew about his secret, but would she become his accomplice? Will she be able to do it?

   “ Are you ready, honey? ”

The second floor at the very least seemed like a more optimistic prospect than the first floor did. Which wasn't saying much given the competition was some tacky Monobear-themed junk store and cleaning shop of all things but still... she would take the positives where she found them, honestly. After everything that had happened she was... surprisingly fine, she supposed. Perhaps she should've been more effected but being effected wouldn't help her out of here. And that was still the priority. Well, mostly the priority anyway. Now that she was around all these clothing shops it wouldn't hurt to take a look now, would it?

Superficial? Of course she was! If you told her that to her face she would admit it proudly. What was the use in hiding it anyway? She liked material goods. She particularly liked classy and expensive material goods. Who didn't? Pretending you didn't like the finer things in life was fake modesty at best. And she'd had enough of that for a lifetime, thank you very much.

She'd just been wandering around the Rechrome store (as she had done briefly with Mizuno in tow earlier) when her eyes caught a nearby figure. Himemiya tilted her head, unsure of who it was given the distance and approached with caution. They could mean harm after all... true, there'd been no motive or whatever given but Yoshi could've started off a huge spree without knowing it. Or maybe someone would just try and straight up bite her again. You never did know. And it never hurt to be a little careful!

"Wandering out here on your own? My, my. I would be careful about that if I were you." she notes in a casual tone as she nears the boy.
