Dazzling lights and endless possibilities, for you inspiration or genius didn’t come overtime but instead came bursting forward all at once. An expedition left you stranded among the stars, cast adrift and destined to fade into dust; fate had different plans and there amidst the Astral Sea the mysteries you’d chased for so long seeped their way into your heart and soul. An astral elf reborn from an autumn fey, the artillery of the open sky was at your fingertips as you explored the unseen realms and the hidden places that ran in between.

You were born in the garden of Eden, a noble eladrin of the Winter court, raised on tales of former glory and greatness. Power that never waned, hope that would never die, but as you looked upon the monarch who held the bulk of your strength you did not see a hero, just a thief. Envious desire seeped into your heart and as Eden burned, you fought, and when the dust settled you and your other half stood amidst the ashes and worked to rebuild. Restore a world ravaged by conflict while you worked in tandem that you would ultimately come to despise. A monarchy that was to be respected by no other virtue beyond their crimes: the plan was simple, her death would usher you back into yourself, but the plan went awry and instead of assassinating the Queen you cut down her consort instead. Exiled for this heinous crime, the courts spat on your name and in their hatred you were made to wander. Wander the Otherworld and into the Underdark, deeper even into the Abyss where the darkest of secrets were whispered into your soul. Power was rife for the taking, you just had to lower yourself to pick it up.

At your birth the noble court of fall welcomed their first child born into Eden, the twin of a winter child, you pair were a sign of union between fractured seasons. The stories of the past were the mother’s milk that reared you, power beyond measure was stripped for the sake of good relations. You knew the tale: Titania was protecting you, shielding you from the hungry Gods above but you never needed her protection and you certainly never asked for it. A plot was concocted, a coup to overthrow the Queen and cut off the head of the monarchy. Unfortunately, fate intervened: Titania’s warder, Nalwyn was killed instead and while many called for your head and the head of your accomplice, Titania kept to the rules of the fey and exiled you instead. A blade in hand you made your sword for hire as you followed your other half into the Otherworld, the Underdark, and even deeper into the Abyss. It was there that you unlocked the power of the deep, a priest of death and decay.

For years you were tasked with nurturing a dying race. The days of the eladrin were long and dark at times, years you spent amongst the fey children, doing what you could to ensure they would make it to adulthood. You would show them the histories, teach them about the queen, about how you were protected. It was a task you were good at; spring was rebirth and you would help them grow. Yet everything came crashing down around you; children stopped being born, the eladrin were scattered – and so you ran. Titania’s court had fallen, the drow had moved in, but you never lost hope. Too many times you’d been tortured by the faces of the fallen, of those that had left you behind - but your revenant never left you. As the world you knew crumbled, your weapon shattered, you combined yourself with your revenant. You'd promised to never lose another, and now you'd never be alone again. You hid in another realm for years, though time did not pass in the mortal realm as quickly as you’d thought. As your new power came to you, as the dawn of a new era began, you wept. You would finally be able to return home and see if once more you could help raise your people from the ashes.

The inconspicuous child, unassuming from a common house of no real significance. You never knew your father, truth is your sire could have been a number of people but one thing you were never wanting for was love. Child of winter, warder to the chancellor, with an axe you made for yourself your grind began. Passed over and underestimated, you could have just as easily been nothing but instead when you were at your lowest you rose above them all. Fallen aasimar, a bloodline as old as the stars, the power of everyone that came before you but about your own? Child of destiny, threaded with fate, oh chosen one are you really up to the task?

the consideration~

It was only a few centuries ago that you found yourself hunted. There was nowhere for you to turn, even the realm of the eladrin was too far for you to reach, and your presence perhaps would have caused enough grief. Your sibling was pulled along with you, as rare as they were, you didn’t wish to part from them. However, they were your burden to carry. Your sibling had been turned Tranquil, magic and emotion gone. They were a shell of who they used to be, but that didn’t mean you would give up on them. Instead, you did what you could. You shouldered their apathy, every blank stare they gave you was just another ember to the flame that kept you going. This could not be their end, you wouldn’t let it be. Someone had stolen their identity from them, and you wished to get it back. There was no cure for those who had become tranquil, not yet, but you would find it. So when you both were restored to your elven power, you immediately set out to find your new home. The elves would have an answer, they had to.

the reprieve~

Across the Otherworld you wandered, the fall of your court and the old ways transformed you into a vagrant. A shadow of the proud elf that you had once been but in the realm that ran between all others there were still pockets of worlds that remained. Last vestiges of dying races, pantheons of would-be Gods and domains of archfey who were still greedily holding under their power. Under the patronage of one, cruel creature, you were their dog on a leash: trained to bite the hand of any that came too close to your grizzled maw. In your dreams Sehanine visited you as she had so many times before, she saw your suffering and she gave you the strength to run: run fast, and run far. At night she guided you towards the mortal realm, and towards the generations of elves that had survived the fall of the old empire. It was here the lythari would rebuild, and it was here that you could find home at last.
