Shit That’s Gone in NYC...so this is a new series that I’m kicking off about places I’ve frequented over the years that is no longer. Not necessarily because of covid, but obviously the pandemic is kinda speeding things along. First edition, Turntable Lab...one of the iconic record shops in the City from deep within the East Village to their former current location on 10th Street, this shop had been around nearly 20 years. Really bummed to see the retail location go. Slight consolation that there is a strong online presence, but that doesn’t replace popping in, shuffling through records and shooting the shit with the always great staff there.
