The Clothespin Project One last stain, this time the balsamic vinegar and steel wool. From some research this was supposed to be the one with a green tint. I don't see green at all. They do look weathered but are more brown than the other vinegar stains. And let's not forget Lady Godiva sitting there like she's an Egyptian princess after a milk bath. The Clothespin Project Here are my four homemade stains, all with a vinegar and steel wool base. One I added coffee grounds, then just the base recipe, next cider vinegar then lastly balsamic vinegar. They have to sit for 24 hours then we can stain. Supposedly they will all look different. The Clothespin Project Up this time is the results of tea staining. A nice brown tone that should have some darker spots where they are stacked while they dry.
