Not many people try to 'fix' things when they are broken. I understand that if you buy clothes and it slightly rips along the seam, you'd want to return it. Nothing is manufactured perfectly. Things do break. I always stitch it up myself and I have no problem. I'd rather do it myself than go all the way to the store to get a new one, and let the other one goto waste. It seems to me some people hold such low values towards the things they consume. Maybe because its cheap. And there so much things available today that we just don't care.
