i was worried for a good while that the theatre would be (1) pretty empty and (2) full of really old people and i’d be the only young person at the simulcast not there for the play itself but just for ben
luckily the couple next to me were massive fans of ben and i did not feel nearly as bad fangirling just a little bit whenever he was onstage or the camera zooms were mmmmmmmmmjustright. i wanted to shout out at the end BEN BABY YOU NAILED IT but settled for saying it to the couple, who wholeheartedly agreed
michelle fairley fucking blew me away with how good she was, she had so much emotion and stage presence that the change from traditionally male to female cassius was an easy and natural one
big, big fan of the humor throughout the play, delivery was always on point
i would have killed to be able to go to london and experience everything in person but i’m so glad i was able to see the NTL showing, there were definitely some things lost in the fire (like the atrociously bad speakers in the theatre i went to, everything was so damn quiet) and the translation of the moving stage from its intended purpose in person to the live recording, but everything was so seamless and organic i couldn’t care less
for those who missed the live showing yesterday, i believe a few places around the US are showing it today (friday) and tomorrow (saturday). please make an effort to go see it, you won’t regret it!!

1. What do you do for work?
Since I’m currently a student I have two part-time jobs: an office position at an HVAC company and a recruiter position at a market research company. Both involve equal amounts of talking to rude and fascinating people over the phone
2. If you could kill one person and get away with it, would you?
I don’t.....know of anyone off the top of my head I’d want to kill right now, necessarily, but I might be inclined to play that card some day
3. When you use the bathroom at someone’s house, do you look through the medicine cabinet?
I’ve definitely desperately looked behind cabinet doors in a bathroom for toilet paper or something but I’m not that nosy, people’s private prescriptions are probably in there!
4. What’s one show or movie that everyone loves but you just can’t get into?
Pretty much anything currently airing on The CW. I can’t stand Supernatural, The Vampire Diaries, Riverdale, the list goes on and on. Vapid mainstream media targeted for millennials just bores me
5. Are you in a relationship? If so how did you meet?
Yep! Just started dating the guy, actually. We met in class at the beginning of the semester and immediately hit it off. He is...very cute, I’m horribly smitten with him
6. How many relationships have you had in the past?
Literally only one because I was a fool and dated the same guy throughout all of high school
7. Do you want to get married? have children? Have/Are you already?
Marriage? Yes, absolutely. Kids, never. I can’t see myself raising them, to be honest
8. What scares you? What brings you genuine fear when you think about it?
Sensory deprivation tanks and dying alone
9. Are you religious? Do you believe in God/s?
Not in the slightest. I was brought up to be Christian but I don’t believe in any deity, honestly
10. How much have your past struggles influenced your writing?
If anything I try to keep my personal life out of my writing. It’s my escape and I want it to be as far removed from myself as possible
11. Do you have a favorite line or scene from something you’ve written?
Oh god, I think everyone has a favorite line from all of their fics, don’t they? I feel like I build half my fics around favorite lines and just fill in the middle bits to make things interesting. This one though on a WIP I really need to get back to is probably my favorite:
Cigarettes and scotch are a deadly combination, and Q is on his fifth glass when he realizes with a sick flutter of his stomach that the taste is nothing remotely like the sharp, smoky flavor he’d imbibed from Bond’s lips so long ago, and his glass is suddenly tumbling from his hands, shattering and spilling out onto the floor with a crash that almost jars Q out of his stupor.
12. Do you write with music in the background or make playlists for certain characters?
ABSO-FUCKING-LUTELY. I don’t always write with music but I like to put on something quiet and droning when I’m deep into the writing headspace. Also I make playlists for every otp I get into, but the one for Bond and Q is not curated enough to see the light of day just yet
13. Is there any song that reminds you of a specific OC?
I feel ashamed to admit I haven’t written original content since high school, but yeah I have a couple songs floating around that reminds me heavily of, like this one for example
14. Which character is most like you?
Definitely Moneypenny. I’m much more of a take-no-bullshit kind of person and can be quite boldly confident when I want to be
15. Which character is least like you?
Probably Bond, lmao. I’m not broody or damaged enough and being under 21 I definitely don’t drink either. Doesn’t mean he’s not extremely fun to write!
16. How long have you been writing for?
I started writing when I was in second grade, just dumb little stories I’d come up with in my head. I was bored a lot in english class and would plot science fiction and high fantasy concepts in the margins of my notebooks, and it just sort of evolved to where I am today. I only started writing fanfiction in 8th grade, though, and I didn’t consider myself half-decent at writing until high school anyway
