After having zero ability to regulate my anger yesterday for no apparent reason, and getting in trouble for snapping at a coworker, I talked to my psychiatrist's assistant, who gave me the number to call to get a therapist. And my ADHD diagnosis should be finalized by tomorrow. Medication along with therapy to deal with ADHD is important.
I've lived my entire life trying to deal with this myself and failing constantly; even alienating people by lashing out in anger when I internalized every little slight. It's never my intent to upset anyone. I try not to. Years of bottled up frustration sometimes explodes and i become an EF5 Bitch Tornado born of a supercell that keeps feeding my rage with an RFD of anger, and an emotional hot updraft. Sometimes people are in my damage path.
When the storm dies, I look behind me in horror and shame at what I've done.
And, honestly, that sucks, because that's not me.
