hello otter and owlbear!!! can you two hear me?
The owlbear nips at the cloud otter a little, causing it to squirm and knock a tile loose from the roof. They don’t give any indication that they hear you, but they both curiously watch the tile as it serendipitously slides all the way down the roof and you hear it shatter on the ground below.
From below, you here someone moving in response to the sound and you hear the sound of a door opening.
Oooo idea! Can I see where Logan’s owl bear and otter are right now?
You come upon a rooftop, your surroundings surrounded with similar rooftops as you appear to be in a bustling city, where a pure white otter is floating above a particularly small looking owl bear, appearing to tease the owl bear. The owl bear squawks as the cloud otter gets particularly close, but the otter manages to evade the swipe.
After a time, the owlbear sits and looks vaguely upset, prompting the otter to come investigate, nuzzling the owl bear a little. The owlbear then takes that opportunity to to pounce on the otter.
You watch as it squirms and squeaks in apparent indignation, and quickly the owlbear eases off the otter. The otter doesn’t retreat given the chance, though.
Instead, the otter remains and based off how they’re both hunkering down, it appears playtime is over.
What names did you give the two Kai?
(The owlbear jumps down, having complete faith in Kai as they fall.)
Kai: Well, I named this bugger Numbnuts cause the only thing that gets him to stop gnawing at my toes is some damn nuts.
(The cloud otter peaks over the roof next, but simply swims through the air down to Kai, draping himself around Kai’s neck, pawing a little at one of his tusks.)
Kai: And this weasel’s name is Nimbus because despite his very pure white appearance, he scratches up a storm when he’s upset.
Oh you know the owl bear and otter Kai?
Kai: Yes, they come around sometimes. Without fail one of them is always on my roof when either one of them comes back.
