i see them as the two who arrive to rehearsals the earliest (besides natalie bagley who usually just ignores them) so they have impromptu jamming sessions on the piano before everyone arrives. it's how seb learns that ej's guilty pleasure is jazz. they bond over it.

one time seb sent a text to the group chat asking if anybody is free to help him out in the barn this weekend bc his parents are gone and nobody else is around to help him with chores. ej was the only one who said he'd be down to help. turns out, ej is really good at milking cows.

ej only knows how to play the iconic part of heart and soul so during a party when everything was winding down, the two of them would play that song together just for funsies

when there were some of ej's teammates who were being lowkey homophobic towards seb in the hallway, he made sure that those particular teammates never got to play an important game all season and that they would always be assigned to cleanup duty. seb never says it but a gesture like that means he's got a good friend in ej.

seb has never watched glee but ej has seen every episode. every other friday, seb would come by ej's house to watch glee with him.

Soooooo is Ricky in the closet? Or not? People keep pointing out the Pride shirts he wore.

it is not confirmed in canon whether ricky is lgbtq+. the first pride shirt he wore was from one of nini's moms that they probably wore before during slc pride. the most recent pride shirt im not sure if theres any connection to ricky exploring his sexuality.

joshua did mention in an interview before that he'd love to explore ricky being queer but once again let us all remember this is disney. we're lucky we even got a seblos kiss from the almighty mouse in the first place. so i wouldnt keep my hopes up! its wonderful to explore in fanon tho.

Kourtney was NOT EJ's biggest fan after he stole Nini's phone but during winter break, she saw him volunteering at the thrift store and decided to just go and observe him. He was surprisingly very gentle with the younger patrons and to the elderly ladies asking for help. It's the first time she's seen with her own eyes that EJ can be kind.

EJ goes to Kourtney for fashion advice more often after winter break. He wears brighter clothes now because Kourtney says they make his eyes pop.

EJ tries not to be a gossip but whenever Kourtney approaches him with the latest tea, he can't resist. Kourtney's a really good storyteller too so he's always enraptured by the time she gets to the most dramatic parts.

After Ashlyn painted his nails, Kourtney asked if she could do it to him too. Nowhere else has EJ gotten a better manicure + nail art. They have mani-pedi parties every other weekend with Ashlyn.

big red and ej

big red used to be the undisputed champion of mario kart until ej decided to give it a whirl. they have weekly competitions bc big red Refuses to give up the title so easily.

big red can cook. ej cant. big red teaches ej how to cook.

ej is the only person ever who could sleep through the noise of big red's sleep apnea machine. the boy has trained himself to tune out sounds so well in his sleep that he can only wake up to the sound of his alarm.

while preparing for the gaston number, ej and big red spent a lot of time together learning how to do things that could make the number more interesting. all the things that they did as a unit during the number were suggested by both of them and gina and carlos just Went with it bc it kind of is perfect

ashlyn and ricky

ashlyn doesnt like taking sides so she absolutely says yes when ricky approaches her to write a song together. both of them are really good at ballads and i kinda see them being a force that writes an original musical for the drama club

there are some days when big red has emergency shifts he has to cover at the pizza shop so ashlyn and ricky end up hanging out. ashlyn has taught him the beauty of face masks and binge watching shitty reality tv shows. ricky has trusted her with his secret stash of romcoms he likes to cry to

ashlyn is the first one to give ricky a hug when he needs it. sometimes he wouldnt even ask for it directly. he'd stand next to ashlyn fidgeting and ashlyn would give him a big ol hug bc rICKY NEEDS HUGS
