i’ve been feeling very...not romantic, that’s not the right word. amorous? ardent? jesus there’s no word for “full of love” that doesn’t have an explicitly romantic/sexual connotation

anyway I’ve been feeling very full-of-platonic-love and I just so desperately want to write this big love story but without the romance

I especially love (lol) the whole Found Family thing, like, I am All About Those Found Family Feels

so like, I had this idea of this person hearing some prophecy or getting their fortune read or just Feeling In Their Bones that they have a True Love out there, and that it is vitally important for them to go find that True Love immediately

so they set out on this big adventure to find said True Love with only cryptic/incomplete info to guide them to where this person supposedly is

along the way they meet up with people who agree to help them on their journey, whether for personal gain or selfless desire to help, and it’s this whole thing where they get caught up in various conflicts along the way and have to solve both their own problems as well as those of the people they come across

meanwhile they’re all jointly working towards the goal of helping protag find their True Love and vanquish evil/break the curse/generally save the day

next thing you know they arrive at the place where the True Love is supposed to be and protag is excited but also sad to be leaving this band of adventurers that they’ve bonded with over the past however long

and it’s all bittersweet and whatnot and then wham! the final piece of the prophecy/fortune/gut feeling is revealed! or protag has an epiphany! or some peripheral character finally spells it out for them! and it turns out this wasn’t where their True Love was at all! they just needed to get here to find them

and protag is like ??? until they look at this ragtag troupe that has come with them all this way and done so much for them and so clearly deeply cares about protag/each other, and protag thinks abt how much they care abt this group in return

and, well, it’s obvious, isn’t it? their True Love was the friends they made along the way, and now that they’re together they can all Do The Thing That Was Foretold and save the day and whatnot

and they all live happily ever after the end

Rumi’s cap is tilted back to let her see, tendrils of her own hair falling forward to frame her face. She’s still wearing that adoring smile, and even if it’s not meant for her, Mira wishes, for one moment, that it was. She’s seized with the sudden, impossible urge to kiss Rumi herself, draw that blush out a little more. To see if she could also find something that would lead to Zoey’s hand on her arm, her lips on hers. “Not yet,” she says, ignoring the way the mobiles in the room send light scattering across their faces, how they trail over Zoey’s freckles and make Rumi’s eyes shine. “Show me?”

Ok but…

Imagine being DJ for the biggest, badest party in the city. Lights shining, music blasting, and people drinking and dancing. The Party is going great.

Then you get a request for a more soul touching song, which was nothing new to you, all kinda of request have been given to you in the past. So you play it, not expecting anyone to come up on stage with a gun, and start pointing it at you. Threats spill out of their mouth like rapid fire. You just kinda stand there, not shocked. You actually look pretty calm. Of course everyone else in the crowd is way too scared for their own lives to notice your calm demeanor. Though your hands shake from behind the DJ set, and your heart raced and thumped against your chest, you stood you ground, and leaned into the mic.

“If you don’t get yo ugly ass off my stage nigga, you ruinin’ the mood.” The drunken man looked at you, face all too red. You glanced at your booth, a black hand gun sat, anticipating you to just pick it up and fire. And with a gun pointed to your own head, you were more than ready to pick it up and fire.Then after less than a second passed, a swarm of people almost flew onto the man, blocking you from his view. Relief projects you like a shield of armor. Your bodyguards and close friends had finally shown up. Hobie, Miles, and pavitr plied on the man, forcing him away, and most likely into custody, while Gwen covers you. She does a body check, asking you a large variety of questions, ensuring that you haven’t been hurt.

The concert is now forced to end, and you’re on your way back home with all 4 of your bodyguard in tow. “So, what took yall asses so long to get that man? What if I got shot or sum?” You have joked, but you were quite serious about the question at hand. “Well, yer highness, we didn’t wanna risk you gettin hurt while out there and had to come up with a course of action’.” Hobie sarcastically replied, and the pavitr followed suit. “It was nothing to hard anyway! Another easy job for all of us!” You chuckled, like that shaking your head. “Yea, shame concert had to end early tho, boss you was doin good tonight.” Gwen said, pulling open the car door to your limbo. “It was fun, but it’s probably best that we all turn in for the night.” Miles pointed out to which you agreed.

Today had been long for you all, and to say that you were all tired was an understatement. And as all of you enjoyed the ride back to your home, you slowly drifted off to sleep. You layer your head on Hobies shoulder and ironically enough, your own song played in the background. Today has been draining, it’d be best to take a rest.
