This year we let the yard go full clover front and back ... it is so beautiful. I wish that you could smell it, hear it and see it. We have honeybees and fireflies. It is constantly alive and humming. It is healthy and green. It is providing food for all of our birds. Might someone who likes a “ polished” green lawn be dismayed by it? For sure. The cutest boy in the world didn’t really understand my obsession with trying to return our yard to a more natural state until last year when the fireflies finally returned and so did the crickets. We have so many birds because we have so many natural places where they can be.
