Hi! So I ended up commissioning @angrynar to draw my Hogwarts Legacy character’s wand for me. She did so so amazing and its exactly what I imagined. Clovis’ wand details are as follows:
Wand Wood: English Oak Wood
Wand Core: Leucrotta Antler
Wand Length/Flexibility: 11 ¾" and rigid flexibility
Overall Description: This wand is a rich orange/brown color built from the wood of an english oak and polished. The Leucrotta Antler resembles a boney piece of wood all on its own, a few shades darker and less warm toned than the wand wood. The Antler makes up the handle of the wand at the very end, connected by a coil of bronze colored thorns that wind up, cutting partially off towards the tip where the wood color darkens again in a soft fade to match the Leucrotta Antler color at the other end.
I couldn’t help myself 😭 I got another commission of Luca and Clovis from @sweaterangst! They turned out so so fantastic. And just a reminder that Luca belongs to @one-very-angry-hufflepunk whereas Clovis belongs to me! Love these boys so much. Hey guys, I’m just doing a small little thing today in my free time. If you’re not familiar with my characters I have Konnor Rainwater (his profile is up on my tumblr and tagged) for HM and Clovis Meyer (info about him also available) for HL. This is just a fun little compatibility game where if you’d like, you can send me a character you want matched with them and I’ll reply with how they’d get along! This may include a witty little summary to a small short story snippet or anything else depending on what I’m feeling.

Introducing... 𝑪𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒊𝒔 𝑩𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒊𝒏 𝑴𝒆𝒚𝒆𝒓.
House: Ravenclaw
Abilities: Clovis has the innate ability to see beyond the veil. As one would astral travel, Clovis can freely send his spirit beyond the veil of death. This can become extremely dangerous as his mortal body is left vulnerable and while on the other side of the veil he can be attacked by any number of spirits. They also hold the possibility of latching onto him and following him back into his body.
Patronus: A Caribou. One of the strongest symbols of a personal and spiritual journey. The caribou is a spirit guide, carrying and leading people to the spirit world and back. Those with this patronus are often very sensitive to the energy around them and spend their lives walking between worlds.
Blood Status: Pureblood. Though Clovis knows very little about his actual family, it is at least known they were both a witch and a wizard, vastly familiar with the wizarding world. Though Clovis does not grow up the same as a traditional pureblood.
Wand: English Oak wood with Leucrotta antler core, 11 ¾" and rigid flexibility
English Oak: A wand for good times and bad, this is a friend as loyal as the wizard who deserves it. Wands of English oak demand partners of strength, courage and fidelity. Less well-known is the propensity for owners of English oak wands to have powerful intuition, and, often, an affinity with the magic of the natural world, with the creatures and plants that are necessary to wizardkind for both magic and pleasure. The oak tree is called King of the Forest from the winter solstice up until the summer solstice, and its wood should only be collected during that time (holly becomes King as the days begin to shorten again, and so holly should only be gathered as the year wanes. This divide is believed to be the origin of the old superstition, “when his wand’s oak and hers is holly, then to marry would be folly,” a superstition that I have found baseless). It is said that Merlin’s wand was of English oak (though his grave has never been found, so this cannot be proven).
Leucrotta Antler Core: Very versatile to magic preference, this core makes wands comprised of it near impossible to break. Best suited to powerful wizards with overwhelming resilience as it is difficult to master.
Info: Clovis originally came from an Ashkenazi Jewish wizarding family that lived double lives between the wizarding world and muggle world. Living among a big, communal family, many of them accepted the art of witchcraft and wizardry despite the typical distaste it held with religion. Due to this, they often practiced in secret among the muggle world, though only in privacy. When Clovis was no more than a boy, however, at the young age of six, his family befell horrible tragedy. Hunted down by a European group of Scourers, both his parents were killed and he was taken by the organization. Scourers, at the time, were muggles who were keenly aware of the wizarding world and wished to bring back the witch trials for the actually magically inclined. Seeing as Clovis was young, though, they sought to purify him and teach him the wrongs of the magic he possessed. This put him growing up in a cult-like setting where he was taught to suppress and only use his magic in the benefit of helping these Scourers hunt down other witches and wizards alike. They were also knowledgeable in the area of wizard kids receiving letters to Hogwarts. Seeing the opportunity in it, they patiently waited for Clovis to get his own in order to have a direct link to the wizarding world. This plan, however, backfired. As Hogwarts became aware of Clovis’ whereabouts prior, withholding his letter until the Ministry was able to finally raid the Scourer group and free him. Due to this, Clovis makes it to Hogwarts later than normal with little idea of how to adapt to his new life he was taught to reject.
Personality: This boy is a loner by trade. Having grown up with little room for friends, he’s shy and lacking in blatant empathy towards others. He seems to carry a cynical and apathetic view of everything despite being very perceptively inclined and sensitive. Often confused and disappointed in the world around him, he finds it hard to trust anyone and spends most of his time in the comfort of books and animals, though it should be known some animals are prone to nervousness around him. Clovis has little concept of right from wrong, anymore and while he didn’t have standard magical training, he happens to be incredibly skilled with wandless casting. He’s never known the difference between dark magics and not and utilizes both. One thing that is certain of him is his deep pool of knowledge and sensitivity to the veil. Somehow, he is always able to sense someone close to death. He does not fear death, but could be seen as profoundly loyal enough to defy it and even sacrifice himself for any gained loved ones.
Hello and once again, thanks to @hogwartsmysterystory for ruining my life and encouraging me to spend an absurd amount of time making a styleboard for my HPHL character. The game is nowhere close to out and yet Clovis has already got more style than me.
