Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh’s 11th Annual KazooFest a lively escape from winter for all ages on Jan. 28
“The 11th Annual KazooFest at Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh – Main, 4400 Forbes Avenue, Oakland, offers a unique, interactive experience that brings quiet library spaces alive on these gloomy winter days.
The free event on Saturday, January 28, from 2 – 3:30 pm in the Library’s Children’s Department welcomes children of all ages (adults, too).
“We are now in our second decade! KazooFest is a family favorite – no musical talent required. Kazoos will be provided or participants may BYOK (Bring Your Own Kazoo),””

Heading over to CLP - Squirrel Hill after school today?
Pittsburgh Filmmakers will be joining CLP teens from 3-5 today at the Squirrel Hill branch for a crash course in documentary filmmaking. Learn how to wield a camera, wireless microphone, and most importantly, ask the right questions to make a documentary. Experts from Pittsburgh Filmmakers will provide equipment and guidance along the way. For teens grades 6-12.
Can’t make it but interested in learning about filmmaking? CLP Teen spaces often have access to cameras and resources to get you started on a project. Check in with your teen specialist with your questions.
Congrats on another successful Haunted Library at CLP - East Liberty!
Completely created by teens in the Library this year’s theme was “The Twisted Kingdom.” Patrons experienced the story, the set and the costumes they designed!
