BIG/LITTLE WEEK PART 1 | college week in my life

Day 66

Third and final day of clue week. My big was super nice and didn't send me on a clue until 12:30 so I had a nice lie in and then went to the Daily Grind for lunch - my first time ever! I had a bacon avocado wrap and I'm not going to lie, it was really delicious. I also know where to head when I really need a grilled cheese now! After that I headed back to Reves and tried to be productive. I didn't get any work done but I did rewrite my CV, look up my flights home and tick some other things off my to do list so it was good. After dinner with the E-Unit crew I headed to revelation! All the pledge class stood in a circle each with a candle and the families came on to the sunken garden singing 'lovely girl' and then ran around and your big was meant to run up and blow your candle out. Well, I'm a twin. And my twin, MC, was on the other side of the circle, and Suze and the rest of the fam found her first. So I was the last lonely person left with my candle until the whole Siren family descended on me, and it was so cute! We had group photos and then all went and got FroYo together from Berrybody (another first time visit). I'm soo happy Suzie is my big, and MC seems like the sweetest girl and I can't wait to get to know her better! After that, Suzie and I and Fiona and Katie, her little, headed back to Fiona's apartment where some other Kappas came. We attempted to do an alcohol run (literally a run) but I didn't have my passport cause I'm useless so we ended up with wine and a self-rewarding Chipotle, my first ever, as a treat from my big aka my new favourite person. An hour later we finally made it back to the apartment, where we played some really funny games and had a really good time. After leaving Kappa events it is customary for me to go and find the E-Unit. That maybe wasn't the best idea on Friday night, but we won't go into it. Safe to say, Jimmy should drink less and I love Charlotte a lot.

Day 65

Second day of clue week and because my Thursdays are so busy my first clue was a super early breakfast at Marketplace. It was so nice cause I met two of my Big’s chi-o friends and Flo came too, so it was such a cute clue. I then sadly had classes and things to go to.

My civil rights class was really exciting because we got to do a Skype interview with Dan Sturman who produced ‘Soundtrack to a Revolution’, amongst other things. It was so insightful and exciting, and I love having this direct contact with such interesting people.

After my class, I went to the Kappa house and met up with some of the others to go on a cider walk. It was such a beautiful autumn afternoon, and we walked into Colonial Williamsburg to one of the cute taverns and got some hot apple cider, which was so yummy.

While we were having dinner in Sadler with the usual crew, some British girls from a school in Ascot that Rob had met came to say hi. They’re on a school trip here and are all applying for unis that we go to and all want to do study abroad, so it was fun talking to them about how different W&M is, but how much fun we’re having.

Our group clue activity was being serenaded by The Gentleman, an A Capella group by the Wren Building. It was so cute and they are so talented! Made me feel like all my hopes of American college being like Pitch Perfect came true.

Thursday night we had girls night! It was so so SO nice spending time with just the E-Unit girls for a change. We did standard things like painting our nails, Astoria was hair dresser of the evening and cut Teagan and Josie’s hair, and we just at tons of food and chatted about things we can’t talk about when all the boys are there! I love how close we have all got and I am so glad it won’t be a real goodbye at the end of this year because we can so easily all meet up at home (I’ll drive 8 hours to Scotland if I have to Charlotte). We’ve all clicked so well and it makes me so happy!
