(( I think Ariel is just cursed with the good christian bug...

Like, it's a part of his character that he cannot and will not force anything--even his own emotions--onto anybody. He's always wanted to travel but because his friends don't care for it he sticks around... But when it comes to other people, it's such a huge turnoff if they don't have some free will.

But when he sees someone and gets the feeling that they have nowhere to go, despite it being a small apartment (with one bedroom, bathroom, and an open kitchen-living space) he offers it up.

Well, it's really not such a big deal to him anyway. Ariel prefers spending time outdoors than indoors anyway, other than to sleep and build his things. ))
