“———Is this going to be a common thing? Please, tell me it’s not going to be a common thing, I’m not sure that I can survive it becoming a common thing.”

“I need a drink and you’re closer than the bar, open the door.”

“You look like you need a drink. Or five, or twelve.”
xchernayavdova:
She ran a self check on herself. Limbs were there, toes and fingers worked, neck was in piece. Most of her weapons seemed to be on herself. Natasha pushed herself up to lean against whatever was behind her. “Your guess is as good as mine.”
“Well, I can’t imagine we’ll discover much out here.” He sighed, looking around for any trace of what might have happened before finally crouching down in front of her, “—-Can you stand?”
titanouss:
“I’d help though, you know that right? I’d kick anyone’s ass into next week or worse for you. Anytime.”
“I know. It’s not the sort of aid I’m in need of, darlin’...—much as I wish that it were.”

“Not a meg… No. I mean, yes, yes the couch, not home.” Erik vaguely feels as though he ought to be insulted, and yet, somehow it doesn’t quite last long in that rare and comforting bubble of being relatively safe in Jack’s presence. At least enough at ease to be this deep in the bottle.
Jack waits for the final answer with an expectant—and very amused—arc to his eyebrows. He’s actually very flattered that Erik allowed himself to fall to this state in front of him. Not that he’ll ever tell him that, of course.
“’Right, then. Sit down and sip your water while I close up shop, then, will you? You’ll be snoring away on my couch in no time.”
titanouss:
“You’re the immortal and I’m the ghost. Technically its all worked out.”
"Ah, but technicality always falls short of the ugly truth that is reality, love. It's never as easy as all that."
