During our photo workshop on February 23rd we will have the pleasure to meet Clyde Butcher in person. Clyde will be giving a gallery talk, signing books and showing his latest exhibition which will be on display at his Big Cypress Gallery until March 3rd. Clyde has been called the next Ansel Adams by Popular Photography magazine, awarded as a humanitarian for acting for the betterment of his community, and recognized as a conservationist for bringing issues to the forefront of public consciousness through his art. Matlacha Pass Aquatic Preserve, near Cape Coral, Florida – This photographic experience was one of the most comfortable I ever had. Niki and I saw the cloud formation forming over the still waters of Charlotte Harbor. We pulled our pontoon boat up onto a sandbank, and while I climbed out of the boat to set up the camera, Niki made breakfast. I’d take a shot of the cloud and while waiting for it to change shape, I’d have a pancake; then take another shot, followed by a pancake…and so on….
