no because all of of doubt (season 3, episode 1) is gideon reflecting on this actions/current mental state. sometimes I am truly of the belief we all did NOT watch the same show.

also you can like a character without indorsing their actions. I like gideon, but I don’t think his actions were correct. complex characters and all that.

Okay so i'm on s3ep1. And its time for my hottest hot take... i think gideon should have died by suicide. I don't think he should have been explicitly found in the cabin. He wouldn't do that to reid, but i think the end should have been ambiguous. Like maybe he just left the job to drive around in retirement sure. But also they should have left it with the possibility that gideon killed himself but in like a really hidden spot where they would never find the body

And then of course, they should have never brought the character back to be murdered by the dumbass bird guy

I just think it would have been a very powerful ending to a character whose complexity well exceeded the show he was on tbh. I think gideon is an excellent character, i just don't care for it in my found family fantasy
