These are the Instructions for Friday, January 17th, 2020
RED SPACE is the event center inside the world headquarters of Hotcards located on Superior Ave. just west of i90. There’s free parking in the lot behind Hotcards, entrance off e24th st. There is another parking lot across Superior Ave. from the main entrance of Hotcards. There’s also street parking throughout the neighborhood! The most widely recommended (and least adopted option) for traveling downtown is to uber/lyft or take RTA, as I’m certain you’re aware. Choice of commuting adventure is yours, you can do this, I believe in you.
Check-in begins at 8:30am - the program begins at 9am

The Grog Shop is at the corner of Euclid Hts Blvd and Coventry Rd. in Cleveland Hts. There's ample street parking surrounding the venue and a metered parking in the garage on the east side of coventry rd.

CreativeMornings is a monthly lecture series for artists and entrepreneurs taking place in over 200 cities around the world. Each event features breakfast, coffee, and a 20 minute(ish) talk from a successful creative person. Each month the global chapters unite conversations around a single word theme. About Nomination Night:
In Cleveland, we ask our community to help identify the most incredible, crazy, daring, inspiring people working in or connected to our city by participating in our one an only evening event of the year. Nomination Night.
We invite our past speakers, partners, attendees, and other leaders in Cleveland’s art and business communities to come together and discuss the most interesting stories coming up in our city. We post the twelve monthly themes for the coming year at the event and ask all attendees to connect the dots by matching their unique networks and views of the city to the upcoming themes. Nominations are posted on the walls in plain view creating a pool of stories that reach deep into the unseen corners of Cleveland that would be impossible for any one person to otherwise discover.
Final speaker selection on CreativeMornings isn’t a democratic process, but Nomination Night is our standing process to include community input to gather a unique look at our ever-evolving city fabric. We encourage self-nomination, we encourage nominating friends, coworkers, colleagues, idols, and everyday heroes. We even encourage coming and not making any nominations at all and just enjoying drinks, art, and music.
This process is how we discover the majority of speakers who present on monthly events. Nomination Night typically garners 200+ nominations each year to fill twelve annual speaking engagements.
Nomination Night Art Show Fundraiser :
NEW to Nomination Night in 2019, CreativeMornings Cleveland will feature original works from twelve artists in our community from mixed mediums, photography, painting, illustration, fine-art printmaking, and more. Each featured artist will show one piece of work related to one of the 2020 Themes. All twelve 2020 themes will be visually represented at the show.
All art must go! Art in the show will be auctioned from a minimum price point set by each artist. Proceeds split 50/50 with the featured artist and CreativeMornings to support our local artist community and help raise money to present monthly CreativeMornings programs.
Featured artists may be past CreativeMornings presenters, or potentially presenters for future events. In any case, each featured artist is a guest of honor to celebrate Nomination Night.
Artist Instructions:
Each artist showing for Nomination Night will choose one of 12 themes and submit a piece that connects to their chosen theme within their own interpretation. Once a theme is chosen by an artist it is no longer available to be interpreted by another artist.
The featured work can be new or pre-existing, matching the chosen theme by each artist’s interpretation.
More than one piece can be submitted if it completes a story or edition, but one piece is preferred to represent the theme.
Size: There’s no minimum size. No larger than 4’ in length or height.

Doors will open at 8:30am. Free parking is available behind the library and in the lot on the corner of Euclid and Elsinore Ave. Enter the library through the side entrance on Elsinore Ave to make your way to the performing arts theatre. As a courtesy to our team who will be setting up for the event, please refrain from arriving before 8:30am. We sincerely appreciate it!
